Thus it transforms, so it is said. Therefore, in the Kalachakra, the three links of dependent arising, such as aging and death, cease; the impure body transforms into purity; the three takers cease; speech-wind transforms into purity; the three, such as touch, cease; the mind-essence transforms into purity; the three, such as consciousness, cease; the wisdom of ordinary beings, the habitual tendencies of leaking pleasure, transform into purity; for each cessation of dependent arising, there is a corresponding ground. After that, it is taught that the Vajradhara's wisdom body is accomplished, which is the twelve grounds of the path of joining. That is to say, for each cessation of the eight thousand eight hundred karmic winds, it is taught that one attains a ground. Therefore, the previous lamas, in the context of bliss and so forth, also establish the stages of the path based on the absorption of the winds, and to say that it is not taught from anywhere is to deceive one's own students with lies. These ten, such as places, are very clear in relation to the ten grounds, such as the Extremely Joyful. The drinking conduct is the ground of the aspiring conduct, and the near drinking conduct is established as the Buddha ground. The ten grounds are the uninterrupted path of the diamond-like samadhi of the ultimate wisdom, the eleventh ground is the unparalleled wisdom and the drinking conduct, the first moment of the liberation path Buddha's wisdom, the twelfth ground is the wisdom-endowed and the near drinking conduct, from the second moment onwards the differentiated path, it is also taught as the thirteenth ground, the Vajradhara ground. In the Great Seal Bindu, fifteen grounds are taught, namely the aspiring conduct, from the first ground, the Extremely Joyful, to the All-Illuminating, combining them sequentially, therefore the All-Illuminating is the twelfth ground. The light that increases universal appearance is the Emanation Body ground, which is the thirteenth ground. The light that obtains universal appearance is the Enjoyment Body ground, which is the fourteenth ground, the inexpressible and immeasurable is the Great Bliss Body ground, which is the fifteenth ground, therefore the others are easy to understand. The All-Illuminating is the ultimate wisdom, and the remaining three manifestly establish the three bodies of the Buddha ground. Furthermore, during the time of the great accumulation path and during the heat of the path of joining, by practicing the conduct that is practiced, relying on the coarse energies of the channels, winds, and bindus dissolving into the central channel, there are also various ways of establishing the ten grounds and twelve grounds, and so forth, therefore do not be confused by the mere names of the ten grounds. The meaning of the subtle energy of the channels, winds, and bindus ceasing.

Then, the ability of those channels and winds to generate discursive thoughts ceases, so the manifest discursive thoughts are abandoned, and they will not arise again in the future. The dissolution of the gross is occasional; at other times, it may arise manifestly again. Also, in the Ornament of Vajra Heart it says: The great earth of all-pervading light, it is like the mandala of the sun. The nectar light is the second, extremely bright like the moon. The light of space is the third, abiding perfectly like space. The vajra light is the fourth, the light of that earth is delightful. By firmly combining the superior intention, it is completely regarded as vajra. The fifth is called jewel light, abiding perfectly in empowerment. The lotus light is the sixth, growing perfectly like a lotus. With the mind itself, which is pure in nature, it completely holds the stainless. The seventh is called action light, intending to perform the actions of the Buddha. The eighth is called incomparable, there is no comparison to it. The ninth is called having comparison, all comparisons are understood separately. The tenth is called wisdom light, the Buddha ground is unsurpassed. The eleventh is all-knowingness itself, the great earth is extremely clear light. The twelfth is knowing the self-nature of each, the yoga wisdom is perfectly complete. These twelve grounds that are spoken of, some Tibetan scholars relate them to the Buddha ground alone, some relate them to the twelve grounds of the noble path, and some relate them to the twelve grounds of the samadhi of the six-branch yoga of the Wheel of Time. However, it seems that each of these has some flaws. Our own system is that the wisdom union of the noble path arises as twelve grounds by separating the antidotes, and because it is the basis for generating higher qualities, it is called ground. In order, it is to eliminate the darkness of ignorance and cognitive obscurations, and to have the light of uncontaminated bliss, and to see all phenomena like space, and to have unwavering superior intention, not being swayed by self-serving discursive thoughts, therefore having delight in benefiting others, and the wisdom of empowerment by the desire gods, and seeing the mind as naturally pure, and performing actions by emanating as Buddhas and so on by the power of aspiration, and the wisdom that transcends metaphors, that is, seeing the inexpressible, and understanding the metaphors and causes of all phenomena.
