If joining either of the two is better, thereby reversing his intention. Completely abandoning the Pratimoksha vows, not combining with the Mahayana. The ninth is: causing separation from the Pratimoksha vows. For someone abiding in the Pratimoksha precepts, using words like "this is difficult and of little meaning, it is better to abandon it and take the Bodhicitta vows," reversing his intention towards the Pratimoksha, and also not combining with the Mahayana, but remaining in an intermediate state. Similarly, the Hinayana sects, etc., believing that they will not abandon, the tenth is slandering the Hinayana. Because the Shravaka sects do not abandon afflictions, in order to reverse his intention towards it, slandering with a narrow mind. Proclaiming one's own merits, as well as gain and respect, slandering others with the reason of verses. The eleventh is: for the sake of gain and respect, slandering the Dharma and people of others, and praising oneself. I am profound and peaceful, speaking false words. The twelfth is: for the sake of gain, respect, and fame, saying that I am profound and peaceful, showing the pure path, those who desire liberation should follow me, etc. Cutting off practitioners with punishment, offering to the Three Jewels, and receiving alms. The thirteenth is: for practitioners who are not in harmony with oneself, spreading slander in front of the king or ministers, etc., causing them to be punished, or for that purpose, giving the property of the Three Jewels to the king, etc., knowing that punishment is coming, accepting the property of the Three Jewels that he gives to oneself, all three of these are root downfalls. Causing abandonment of Shamatha-Vipassana, as well as the enjoyment of truly abiding, giving it to disputants, saying it is a root downfall. The fourteenth is: abandoning Shamatha-Vipassana, that is, obstructing the Samadhi of those who practice meditation, speaking many faults of meditators in front of local leaders, and then transferring the enjoyment of meditators to disputants, these are two transformations. If so, from the proclamation of precepts it says: one should not abandon and discard, it is said to be a root downfall. Therefore, the antidotes for abandoning root downfalls are mental abandonment and the abandonment of body and speech.

The so-called "not becoming a corpse" means abandoning the root downfalls and not doing the act of discarding armor. These roots, when relying on the path, I did not say directly, because earlier, at the time of generating the mind of enlightenment, and in the types of actions, all the vows, these are the main parts of the vows, so they are already included there. Killing and so on have already been said before. Everything else that is not for the purpose of taming sentient beings should be abandoned, and the noble ones, that is, the inner yogis, should be respectfully relied upon, and offerings should be made with gain and respect, etc., and the ten non-virtues mentioned earlier should be abandoned, and the four trainings of emptiness and compassion, that is, the Hinayana, etc. In the declaration of vows and the proclamation of vows, it is also said: "Do not desire the inferior vehicle, nor turn away from sentient beings, nor abandon samsara, nor delight in nirvana." Just like this, not seeking enlightenment for oneself, not turning away from the task of liberating sentient beings from samsara, knowing that samsara is naturally pure and not clinging to it as something to be abandoned, knowing that nirvana is also without self-nature and not clinging to it as something to be attained. The summary of these meanings is "not abiding in extremes," the so-called extremes are the extreme of samsara and the extreme of nirvana. The so-called "for all sentient beings" refers only to the supreme situation. It is said: "The vajra-bodied one with vows, do not despise the bodies of men and women born of karma, the vajra-mind and the vows, do not make evil thoughts and good thoughts, the mind should not be in front of the mind, the latter should not refute the former mind, the vajra-speech with vows, coarse and evil words born of desire, flattery and other pleasant words, should be spoken in speech." This is unanimously declared in the Vajra Essence Ornament Sutra and other numerous tantras such as the Samputa Sutra. The bodies of women and men show the production of various karmas, and it should not be done without understanding, this is the vow of the body vajra. For the various sufferings of sentient beings, and the various discriminations of the net of conceptual thoughts, the mind should not be excessively slandered, this is the vow of the speech vajra. Due to jealousy and displeasure, words
