Now everything will be cursed and will surely turn to ashes, and this refers to those who abide in the Vajrayana. The meaning of what was said is also the same. If one's own support becomes a woman and she blames herself, will she incur this downfall? If she only blames her own body, then it will belong to the category of the eighth root downfall. If she blames the lineage, then it will be the fourteenth. Some Indian commentaries on Yamantaka say that blaming Vajravarahi and others is this root downfall. I think this is because there are four kinds of female lineages that are named Vajravarahi and so on. Some Tibetans explain Vajravarahi and others as yidam goddesses, but I think this is not correct. Because this is included in the saying that one should not despise the female beings of the place, and that one should not despise mantras and deities. Moreover, such objects to be prohibited are also very few. Some explain blaming one's own mudra as a root downfall. In general, the Guhyasamaja says that making the mind of the mudra unhappy, that is, displeasing, is a great fault of samaya. But if the lineage is not blamed, then it will not become this root downfall. If by making her mind unhappy, one turns away from the desire from the mantra vehicle, then it will be the twelfth. In general, blaming the lineage by relying on the mudra will become a heavier branch of the fourteenth. But it is not necessarily required that the mudra be the object here. Second, there are eight branch downfalls, the first is: the untamed, which refers to those who have not received the mantra vows, or even if they have received them, they have broken their vows, and they are happy not to rely on such a vidya. Some say that this refers to vowing to rely on them in their minds, and if they actually rely on them, it will become the seventh root downfall. But other scriptures say: "Taking by the power of wisdom." Therefore, it is clear that it refers to actual reliance. If one were to explain something like the path of mudra, then it would become secret intercourse, but merely relying on it is not, because sexual intercourse is common to all. In particular, relying on those who have broken their vows will generate many other faults, so one should keep a distance. The second is: mainly mentioning the tsok khorlo, that is, the mandala of heroes and heroines and offering to the deities, giving.

In gatherings for mantra practices such as pacification and empowerment, engaging in verbal disputes, mockery, and insults. If not a close Vajra sibling, speaking truthfully with anger, this is clearly a coarse offense. If anger arises towards a Vajra sibling, it becomes a root downfall, so this refers to a situation without anger. Third, even if one has received empowerment, revealing uncommon secrets to someone who lacks faith in the path of mantra. Regarding this, previous teachers have said that speaking in veiled language, using verbal codes, when it is not a time for offering mandalas, etc., is a transgression. However, other treatises on coarse offenses state that teaching the Dharma to those without faith is a transgression. Therefore, our own view is the former. Fourth, when a faithful person comes before you, requesting the key points of mantra, but you teach them things that are not what they desire, like explaining Sutra teachings. If wrong intentions arise regarding this, it becomes the twelfth root downfall. If one has nothing to say, it does not truly become a coarse offense. However, if due to stinginess and hypocrisy regarding the Dharma, one could speak but speaks to others instead, then it becomes a coarse offense. Fifth, residing among the Shravakas for seven days. Specifically, this refers to Bhikshus, Shramaneras, and Upasakas who hold the views, meditation, and conduct of the Vaibhashikas and Sautrantikas as true and reside among them. Even if one's life is not in danger, and there is no need to lead them into the Mahayana, if one resides in such a place for seven days, the coarse offense is committed at the end of the seventh day's session. It should be examined whether a similar fault occurs for Mahayana practitioners who do not have faith in mantra. Sixth, showing secret samaya objects such as the Vajra, bell, khatvanga, six ornaments, etc., which are inseparable samayas, as well as painted images and scriptures of samaya, to those who have not received empowerment and are not vessels for mantra, becomes a coarse offense. In the commentary said to be written by Lakshmi, it is said that teaching the Dharma related to the master empowerment, vase empowerment, secret empowerment, and wisdom empowerment to those who have broken their samayas is a transgression, and some Tibetans also hold this view. Seventh, to someone who does not know how to form hand mudras and has no faith, if you show them the mudras and say, "These are this and that mudra," and that person has no faith, then...
