Suppose, in the Yoga Tantra, there is no vow of bliss that possesses complete characteristics, therefore, one does not wish for root downfalls other than those of the Sutra system. Also, some say that if one becomes full from food, afflictions will increase, and in order not to generate afflictions, there is no fault in eating little. This kind of self-fabricated instruction should not be done either. If that is the case, for such people, it should be permitted from the beginning of subduing the exhaustion and fatigue, rather than being prohibited. Considering food as the root of afflictions is the doctrine of some foolish heretics. Reducing food without subduing afflictions, in the Vinaya, it is like a lustful monk beating himself with his own penis. The king said, "This is foolish, the harm was done by another, and the beating is of another." You also fall into this category, which is not in accordance with the Vinaya and contradicts the mantra, so it is not acceptable in any way. Ninth, self-nature purity means that all phenomena are empty by nature. Doubting this, that is, merely knowing the terms and not believing, if it exceeds two sessions, it is a root downfall. However, when listening to and contemplating the scriptures that explain emptiness, focusing on emptiness, and thinking that the meaning of the scripture does not seem to be like this, such doubts are not prohibited. Because one's own mind of awareness is the Tathagatagarbha, therefore, the five aggregates that appear as its manifestation, the mere clarity of the mind that appears in these, is the cause of the Tathagata's wisdom, therefore, the purification of the five aggregates into the five families, etc., this way of purification is the purification of each deity, which is the second purification. The nature of the mind, which has always abided in the essence of great bliss, is the self-knowing purification, which is the third purification. Doubting these, etc., is the same as before. That is, for this, merely the understanding that all phenomena are empty arises, and then one clings to them as not being empty. Since one will not fall by not having heard emptiness, this is likely to happen to those who are conceitedly learned and attached to terms. The same can be inferred for the other two purifications. Tenth, here it refers to transforming a malicious person into a human being, slandering the guru, harming the Three Jewels, and refuting the mantra vehicle. For these people, saying that they will come, associating with them, and helping them with body and speech

If one performs loving-kindness mixed with attachment, it becomes a root downfall simply because the matter is concluded. If one sees a special necessity, such as being able to enter the Buddha's teachings or blocking the door to many harms to sentient beings, then giving permission is without fault. Then, in the "Purification of the Lower Realms Tantra," it says: "Fools who revile the Three Jewels, harm the Buddha's teachings, and diligently revile the guru, the wise should strive to kill them." And in the "Six-Faced Tantra," it says: "For the violent ones, one should retaliate, either directly or with mantras and other means, or with mandalas and samadhi, or even with medicine. If one does not do so, one will definitely break one's vows." This is the fault of not engaging in wrathful activity. As it is said: "If one cuts off those who do evil, it will be accomplished, so say all the lineages." Since the benefits are shown, is it necessary to engage in wrathful activity? Or, in the "Manjushri Root Tantra," after many faults of wrathful activity are mentioned, it says: "The Buddhas and Bodhisattvas have completely forbidden wrathful activity." As it is said, is it necessary to lead the meaning to another interpretation? It is not both. Wrathful activity that lacks the object and basis is completely forbidden. The object can even be a non-human. For humans, until they die, they spend their time with great sins. If the practitioner is capable and possesses the view of emptiness and unwavering compassion, then they must be liberated. Otherwise, compassion will weaken, and one will slightly transgress the vows of Vajradhara. In this, it is obvious that a transgression will occur. Even if the object and basis are complete, a root downfall will not occur simply by not engaging in wrathful activity. Also, even if one cuts them off, they will continue to engage in evil in another life, and after their death, other great sins will arise just as before. If there is a continuous occurrence of great harm to the Dharma and sentient beings, then even if one cuts off the former, there is no great necessity, so one should not engage in wrathful activity. One should understand the karma of sentient beings and the times of the rise and fall of the teachings, and then keep the mind at peace. Some say that the true meaning of these is action, and that killing should not be done at all times, because it contradicts compassion.
