Ah! It is very wrong to think that recognizing and trusting what is truly there is right. Even if one is completely immersed in such a sound, how can one recognize it if one does not actually hear it? If the city on the other side, which one trusts, cannot be seen with the eyes, then one cannot examine and verify it with the eyes. Even if one has only made a verbal pretense, one actually admits the very self-view that one has denied. First, by developing interest in and meditating on the sound of the three letters in the wind, later, even without interest, the sound of the letters will appear, like the pride of a deity. Therefore, this denies that the sound of the three letters in the wind has existed from the beginning. Because it admits that it has fallen into wrong conceptions like the pride of the generation stage. Here it is said: By attributing faults to the faultless system, those who are full of faults and do not know this are fools, and they all fall into the common law. Therefore, the way in which wind and mantra are inseparable is very important, but that is the meditation on the sound of the letters. Moreover, in its oral instructions, meditating on the image is not contradictory, because it is very beneficial to it. It is strange to regard something that does not help beginners as profound meaning. There is nothing better than the state of Buddhahood for the reality of things, and merely explaining its classification will not become the ultimate oral instruction. If, from that, the oral instruction of cultivating faith is shown, it will be beneficial to beginners. Therefore, saying that now is the time to diligently rely on the lama and seek oral instructions, but instead looking at books, is like what is said in the Five Stages: One who has contempt for the lama, has no faith, is arrogant with mantras, and is filled with seeing books, and for one who has no faith and has inferior empowerment, one should not speak of the order of words. Moreover, the wise, because of the pride of manifestation, rely solely on seeing books to explain the tantras, which shows that those faults are all possessed by oneself, so one should recognize them. In reality, let alone seeking oral instructions from the lama, even if the books written with the essence of the minds of the former holy ones, the oral instructions, do not conform to the scriptures, they have the quality of being discarded, and they refute that the oral instructions exist in them, and they think that the direct instructions of the scriptures are the oral instructions.

It seems that the talk of scripture and oral instruction is also unreasonable, because it has been admitted that the two are one. Therefore, although many stories of "what the supreme deity said" are compiled, with evil words hating the supreme oral instruction, pretending to respect the scriptures and saying that the scriptures themselves are the supreme of oral instruction, how can we be deceived by such words? Here, to settle the winds, it is first necessary to make offerings and praises to the guru's oral instructions, and then it will arise naturally. There is also a rule that it is permissible to settle without making any modifications at first. Also, for those with sharp faculties, the knots of the channels will be released through six months of tummo vajra recitation, dividing it into six parts, and according to their respective experiences, different ways of reciting will arise. The Vajra Garland says: "The first arising and inhaling, twenty thousand and one thousand, likewise the number six hundred." And so on, speaking extensively, the essential meaning of these words is: In the first month, vajra recitation is performed on twenty-one thousand six hundred winds every day. In the second month, the nine hundred winds per portion of time are divided into three: entering, abiding, and rising, all of which become two thousand seven hundred, which must be determined, and only knowing that they arise from each chakra, relying on these, vajra recitation is performed more finely and meticulously than before. In the third month, the winds arise clearly from each chakra, and one directly sees the way in which the single life force runs through different chakras, relying on it to perform vajra recitation. In the fourth month, after knowing the way in which the one hundred and eight winds run, vajra recitation is performed, and the coarse running of the one hundred and eight self-nature discriminations begins to merge into luminosity. In the fifth month, the one hundred and eight winds turn back slightly, becoming the great wind that draws out non-discriminating wisdom, seeing it running in the center of the chakras, performing vajra recitation, the winds turn back from the outside, reaching the place of the indestructible bindu. In the sixth month, reaching there, it will merge into the indestructible bindu, returning from the agitation of afflictions, and the mind of discrimination scattered on external objects will be purified. This is also
