In the practice of Guhyasamaja, the indestructible bindu at the heart is the most important. Therefore, although one may initially practice at other chakras in order to untie the other knots, the ultimate practice must be done at the heart. Secondly, regarding the distinctions in the objects of focus: various different practices arise from the instructions. From the perspective of letters, there are practices with three letters, and the Vajra Garland tantra speaks of two letters, Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Hūṃ) and Ho (藏文:ཧོ,梵文天城体:हो,梵文罗马拟音:ho,汉语字面意思:Ho). From texts such as the Buddha Skull, there also arise recitations combined with many letters. All of these can, like the three letters, perform the inner mantra extraction and activities. Therefore, it is not the case that the benefits of the three-letter vajra recitation are absent in those other recitations. Generally, most recitations of the generation and completion stages are called vajra recitation. In the Guhyasamaja Tantra, it says that from the thusness of the three letters, the door of dharani is used, and there are the vajra recitations of body, speech, and mind, the recitation of the dakinis, the three vajra recitations that lead sentient beings of the three poisons into luminosity, and the recitation of hermaphrodites who meditate on luminosity, and so on, are explained as various categories. For the vajra recitation of a specific situation, there is the recitation that follows the meaning: "The selfless and virtuous one, contemplates the Buddhas of the three times, that is explained as the jewel recitation." This is the vajra recitation of the root wind or the jewel recitation. Manifesting clouds of bodies in all Buddha fields, and going and coming is the meaning of vajra, this is the unobstructed recitation, and it is also the vajra recitation of the branch winds. From the perspective of time, there are six: when unskilled, when gathering wind and mind upon waking from sleep, untying the knots, attaining the ultimate of the example luminosity, and the time of accomplishing activities. Thirdly, as it is said: "Begging and not reciting." The meaning of this is explained in the tantra: "Different letters are begging, reciting them is profound." The Sanskrit word for begging is Bhikṣā (梵文天城体:भिक्षा,梵文罗马拟音:bhikṣā,汉语字面意思:Begging), and adding letters to it gives Bhinna Akṣara (梵文天城体:भिन्न अक्षर,梵文罗马拟音:bhinna akṣara,汉语字面意思:Different letters), which in Tibetan means different letters, that is, reciting without recognizing wind and mantra as one. Therefore, the meaning of uniting the two, as explained during the mantra extraction, is that the state of the wind's energy at the base is the three letters.

The inner speech that arises from the sound, for this, contemplate the three-syllable tone that is similar in form to it. Some say that this is not the instantaneous three-syllable tone, because it is directed at the external sound. Therefore, pretending to say that the self-nature tone of the wind is inseparably combined with the mantra, recognizing that its meaning is that the wind emits a sound similar to the three-syllable tone, and focusing without distraction. Therefore, those who contemplate the shape of the letters have not understood the key point of the sound in Vajra recitation, and say that it should not be done that way. If it is not allowed to contemplate there because it does not reside in the shape of the letters, then it should not be allowed to place letters on the petals of the channels either. If you say that those are only symbols, for the sake of grasping the mind, then it is the same here, why the contradiction? Therefore, if the method of reciting wind and mantra inseparably is incomplete, it may not become the Vajra recitation of the completion stage. What fault is there in contemplating the shape of the letters? If it is only the method of reciting wind and mantra inseparably, and others cannot be determined during Vajra recitation, then it should not be allowed to generate oneself as the deity during Vajra recitation either. It is also unreasonable to contemplate the indestructible bindu in the heart as the form of short A (ཨ,梵文:अ,IAST:a,字面意思:A), because it has never been said that there is a shape of A. Saying that bindu is short A is because it symbolizes emptiness, and you also admit this. Emitting a sound similar to the three syllables, if it is not a sound, then what is it that needs to be examined? If it is the form of sound, then it will be known that it is the form of the wind with the three-syllable tone, and it is also admitted that the wind is an established measure of external things. Wouldn't it become admitting that the basis of matter and consciousness is the same? Or, if you think that the sound similar to the three syllables is the letter of non-associated formation, then because all non-associated formations are imputed, wouldn't there be a self-contradiction here, that is, thinking that the winds are imputed substances? If it is a sound, isn't it just remembering in the mind the form of emitting the sound of the three syllables? Or, isn't it just not clearly contemplating the sound of the wind being emitted in that way?
