Merely setting aside whether one has practiced or not and refuting in that way is extremely inattentive. For according to your system, it is also necessary to combine the three practices of meditation and contemplation with the three levels of faculties. Furthermore, the elaborate requires many implements, there are many physical activities, the object of focus is vast, and many desirable qualities and consorts are needed. Therefore, it is said that the elaborate practice is for those who have great implements, are young in age, have great wisdom, and great desire. For the other two as well, one should understand by analogy. If these three practices are differentiated, there are three practices that depend on ritual or action, three practices that depend on meditation and contemplation, and three practices that depend on time. The first is what was said above. The second is because all the practices during the stage of generation are solely meditation and contemplation driven by conceptual thought, therefore it is the elaborate practice of meditation and contemplation. In this case, emptiness is also mixed with conceptual thought, and bliss is only momentary. From the time one attains the special completion stage and meditates on bliss and emptiness in equipoise, one expands all appearances. Because one does not rely on meditating solely with conceptual thought, but enjoys desirable qualities through the appearance of the deity's form, conceptual thought is less, and it is called non-elaborate. Emptiness is the nature of non-thought, and bliss also arises spontaneously and extensively. In the stage of union, without moving from the natural play of bliss and emptiness itself, all appearances spontaneously arise as a pure mandala, and one enjoys desirable qualities. Because there is no manifest conceptual thought in this, it is called the extremely non-elaborate practice of meditation and contemplation. Appearance, emptiness, and bliss arise in a way that pervades the sky. These all have the three, elaborate and so on, from the perspective of action. The third is a differentiation of gathering practices, as it is said in the Buddha Samayoga: "Each day or each month, likewise each year, after blessing with the appropriate ritual, one should rejoice in the Buddha Supreme Bliss." As it is said, practicing constantly every day is elaborate, practicing once a month is non-elaborate, and practicing once a year on time is extremely non-elaborate. Therefore, meditation

Or, there are three kinds of actions with elaboration, and so on. For meditation and thought, these three, with the three distinctions of three actions, there are nine in total. For the six actions of with elaboration and without elaboration, in the context of gathering and practice, there are three kinds of with elaboration, etc., totaling eighteen. There are three kinds of extremely without elaboration, totaling twenty-one. For these, with the distinction of staying in one place and traveling to major places, there are forty-two in total. For each of the others besides the fourteen that abandon meditation, thought, and with elaboration, they are divided into three kinds: Universal Tremor, Samantabhadra, and Victorious Direction, so there are one hundred and eight practices, as said by Guru Lho-phyok-pa. However, since the names are not clearly added, the terms such as with elaboration and without elaboration mainly refer to the three that are related to the ritual of striving action. Sometimes they are often used for meditation and thought as well. In this King of Tantras, the Chakrasamvara, with elaboration refers to the gathering wheel and changing clothes, as well as gestures and answers to gestures, and the method of practicing in the pure land, which are elaborated in three chapters such as the twenty-seventh chapter. Without elaboration is said in the thirty-eighth chapter: "Rivers, oceans, ponds, mountains and crossroads, wells and springs, empty houses and streets, everywhere are dakinis, everywhere clinging to the deities. The great terrifying charnel ground, as well as the sky-goers and underground, there are also many zombies. With terrifying forms and great power, together with them, great heroes, enjoy as they please." Extremely without elaboration is: "Mountain valleys, dense forests are secret, secret female yoginis, in that direction and those places, practitioners and play on the ground." Here it says that the secret woman is the wisdom mudra. Second, the nature of practice, the time of practice, the necessity of practice, the classification of practice, and how to practice. The first is the special practice of body, speech, and mind, which is the release of the two stages of samadhi that have been well stabilized. The special meaning is that, as one wishes, without restricting desires, practicing as one pleases, thereby increasing the previously stabilized bliss-emptiness wisdom from higher to higher. The second is that, whether or not one practices the completion stage, the coarse part of the generation stage has reached its completion.
