Of the five lights and unions, the first is: the support, the isolated body, and the supported, the isolated speech. The first of these two is the deity's form that appears in the mind, the bliss and emptiness that increases as the wind-mind slightly dissolves into the central channel. On this, the "Compendium of Practices Lamp" makes many detailed explanations of the distinctions of the hundred families, etc., but in the tantras of the Mother Tantra side, in general, only the hundred families are mentioned, and such detailed explanations are not seen. Various extensive explanations have appeared, such as the three families, five families, six families, and the one great secret family. The nature of the second is the method of dissolving the wind into the central channel, that is, first practicing the suchness of the wind, etc., and then learning the vajra recitation, etc. The nature of the second, focusing on the mind, is the special wisdom of the way the subtle and coarse elements dissolve. By generating the common realizations of appearance, increase, and near attainment through any of the inner and outer life forces, to manifest the ultimate example of clear light, which is the uncommon near attainment, one must necessarily rely on the action seal of the outer life force. This is also called the stage of focusing on the mind. The third is the illusory body that is actually accomplished only by wind and mind, which is approximated by the twelve similes of illusion. The cause for obtaining it is the ability to practice the deity's form as appearance and emptiness in both waking and dreaming states, and to generate special melting bliss. It is accomplished by the ultimate example of clear light of mind isolation as a condition. This is also called the stage of self-blessing. The fourth is that no matter which of the upper and lower doors is relied upon, all the clear light bliss and emptiness that is practiced now becomes the cause. The actual practice is that after obtaining the illusory body, one repeatedly enters emptiness with two kinds of yoga. By constantly meditating on the three appearances and the fourth example of clear light, when the eighty kinds of self-nature's conceptual thoughts manifest and cease, one must ultimately rely on the action seal. This is the meaning of clear light that directly realizes the nature of reality. The fifth is that when one arises from this, the unified body is accomplished, and one actually engages in beneficial activities, and benefits sentient beings through emanations. Its nature is to abandon meditation and abandon the three appearances.

It is the wisdom of appearing emptiness and bliss. This sequence is also very important and difficult to understand, so although it is important, I would like to explain it elsewhere. Since the completion stage of all tantras is based on this, how it abides in the completion stage of Hevajra itself can be understood implicitly by explaining only this much. The third is the six families, etc. This has three parts: the distinction of object and mudra, the identification of special characteristics, and the subsequent arising for the sake of bestowing accomplishments. The first is that the six and seven families have already been explained in the context of offerings. The so-called eight families are the distinctions of the supreme mantra dakinis. If those texts are quoted, they will become numerous, so it should be understood in the tantra itself. In short, the color is red-yellow, with the scent of lotus, peaceful and attached, following the gods, or the nails and eyes are red, and a lotus is drawn in both houses, which is the lotus family. The color is blue-green, with a three-pointed pattern on the eyebrows, drawing and offering a vajra, which is the Heruka Vajra family. The forehead has a three-pointed or spear pattern, the eyes, face, and limbs are red, likes goats and domestic birds, draws and offers a vajra, which is the glorious Heruka nectar, that is, the Ratna family. The forehead and hands have wheel patterns, the color is blue, likes to cover the head, has great glory and draws and offers a wheel, which is the Vajravarahi and Vairocana family. Proud of strength and black in color, tall teeth, fierce and full of mental strength, likes bathing, few words, draws and offers a vajra, which is the Akshobhya and Vajravarahi family, with fifteen thousand friends or retinue dakinis. The color is yellow, the eyes are slow, the hair is abundant, the forehead and the ring finger of the left hand have vajra patterns, likes fierce deeds and kingship, the scent of Malika arises, draws and offers Ekajati, which is Khandarohi, born from the Vajrasattva family. The color is black-gray, likes meat, the forehead has the shape of a spear and a bindu, does not like cleanliness, draws and offers a skull, which is the Vajrasattva Heruka family. The color is light blue, the teeth are uneven and has a left fang, fierce.
