The way to connect purity with vows and keep them is like that. Generally, meditating on the extensive mandala in four sessions, etc., is said from the perspective of the stage of practice. Therefore, it is very important for it to have the place, the five mudras, and the suchness of the wisdom branches complete. For beginners, meditation is enough with just focus. According to the current practice, after the rising yoga, prostrations, bathing yoga, refuge, bodhicitta, and the hundred-syllable mantra, the five mudras and the wisdom branches appear mixed. After that, one should eat the samaya substances, etc. Those are not clear in the direct teaching of the scripture, but they are things that need to be supplemented. Now, regarding the meaning of the scripture, who is the agent who accumulates merit? What is the object in which merit is accumulated? How is merit accumulated? Among these three, the first is indicated by "the seed of the heart," which is the yoga of the three purities. That is, even if the three of body, speech, and mind are not purified and tamed, accumulating merit will still produce some fruit, but the benefit of accumulating merit through purification is very extensive, unlike the other way, and another necessity is to accomplish the deity of the vajra of body, speech, and mind, so this is practiced. That is, in the commentary of Lui-pa, what Lava-pa said, etc., the way of practicing the three purities, which is well-known to scholars, is a slightly extensive way, but this scripture does not emphasize it. Those who hold the oral instructions of this scripture mainly value this way of practicing the condensed three purities. That is, श्री हेरुक हम् (Tibetan, Devanagari, Śrī heruka haṃ, literal Chinese meaning: Auspicious Heruka Hum), by analyzing the sound, श्री (Tibetan, Devanagari, Śrī, literal Chinese meaning: Auspicious) is non-dual wisdom, हे (Tibetan, Devanagari, He, literal Chinese meaning: Hey) is emptiness of causes, etc., रु (Tibetan, Devanagari, Ru, literal Chinese meaning: Ru) is separation from aggregates, क (Tibetan, Devanagari, Ka, literal Chinese meaning: Ga) is not abiding anywhere. Thinking about these meanings is speech purity, and in the heart, as a symbol of the bodhicitta that is originally stainless, on top of the moon disc born from the A that symbolizes original non-birth, is the blue Hum syllable, its foot curve is the wisdom of accomplishing activities, the belly is the wisdom of individual discrimination, the head is the wisdom of equality, the crescent moon is the mirror-like wisdom, and the bindu with nada at the top is the essence of the dharmadhatu wisdom. Thinking like that in one's own heart is mind purity.

The light rays of the body purify the appearance of the body, and again manifesting as the glorious Hevajra father and mother is the purity of the body, which transforms the three of body, speech, and mind into the purity of the Buddha's body, speech, and mind. Some insist on saying "the joy of body, speech, and mind," which is merely being overly attached to textual errors. Some also think that remembering the meaning of the four-letter mantra is mind, and meditating on Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hūṃ) is because of contemplating the letters themselves, which is considered the purity of speech, which seems to work in a way. But here, from the expression of speech dissolving into the breath, the mind manifests as luminosity, bliss, emptiness, and freedom from elaboration. From such manifestation, the illusory body of appearance and emptiness arises again. Therefore, the generation and completion stages of the three vajras are not combined with the general sequence, but are shown in the order of speech, mind, and body. First, the mantra is recited from the mouth, and second, the mind believes in the nature of the five wisdoms, so there is no need to doubt this. So, in the third stage, what kind of form does the Heruka deity have, with two hands or many hands? The two are not contradictory. It is not just the father deity, but the union body must be visualized. The second is that the gathering of light rays from the Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hūṃ) in the heart invites the Sugatas in front of oneself, that is, the entire mandala wheel. The word "then" connects with the following text. The way to meditate on the object is as described in the sadhana. Like the wisdom being, inviting from elsewhere, or suddenly arising from emptiness like a rainbow appearing in the sky, or meditating in the way of illuminating what already exists, like lighting a lamp in the darkness with the light of the heart, any of these three ways is not contradictory. However, in practice, the latter is mainly used, and the mantra and mudra of invitation are not used, which seems to be the practice of the masters. In general, it is not wrong to use mantras and mudras for illuminating what already exists and for suddenly arising. When inviting from elsewhere, if samadhi is the main thing, there may be no need for mantras and mudras, so saying that mantras and mudras are not needed because of the reason of illuminating what already exists is only a sign of childish intelligence. From the Vajra Dakini.
