It symbolizes, and the lion is also the mount of Shri Devi, so it is not contradictory because it is considered that the functions are the same. I think it is incorrect to have beasts of prey in the arrangement of birds, do not modify it arbitrarily. Also, from those, a great collection of rays of light emanates, and at the same time, many small vajras and countless forms of Buddhas, etc., arise, subduing hatred and malice, placing all sentient beings in the realm of the Buddha, and purifying the pure land. From "becoming the nature that even the three realms of the world cannot tolerate," as stated in the Essence of Sadhana, in the part of the deities under the feet, the six-faced youth, Ganapati, the moon, and the sun are all suppressed face down. If it is said to be the eight great gods, it will be in accordance with the meaning of "youth Vinayaka, etc." in the scriptures. The six faces on the left and right of the main deity must be the retinue faces. The scripture says, "The first face on the right is blue, its right is red, and its left is yellow." Therefore, in this case of the forty-nine mothers, it is clear that they are arranged from the front. Although it is like this here, in general, the horn face, the stacked face, and the retinue face itself, as well as the first on the left and right, there are also cases where the middle of the left and right is identified as (the first), etc., which vary in the tantric scriptures, and some are oral instructions, and are not contradictory to the tantras. The first two hands hold the elephant skin, and the hands below holding it are not contradictory either, but it is better to do it as usual. In the eight directions, the east is the Vajra Head, the south is the Vajra Hand, from the Vajra Bird in the northwest to the Vajra White Smile in the northeast, it is similar to the case of placing hand symbols, except that the word "Vajra" is added to the beginning of all names, and the deities in the four corners, the southeast is the Vajra Skull Blood Mother, etc., and the names of the goddesses are placed. The four consorts are: the Wrathful Mother has a divine face and is adorned with five seals; the others all have buffalo faces, have six seals, and have erect lingams. All are black in color, with one face and two hands. The right hands hold the weapons that match their names, and the left hands hold skull cups filled with nectar. The right foot

He abides on a seat of a corpse with his left leg bent and his right leg extended. He has three eyes and bared fangs. His hair, the color of saffron, is raised upwards. He gazes upon the face of the Bhagavan. He laughs loudly with great fury and accompanied by the sound of "Phem (ཕཻཾ,梵文天城体:फें,梵文罗马转写:pheṃ,汉语字面意思:Phem)". He is adorned with a crown of dry skulls, a necklace of fresh heads, and venomous snakes. In the manner of being born from the Bhagavan and his lineage, he dwells in the center of a swirling mass of flames. Here, the scripture states: "All the Bhagavans are just like that." The meaning of this is that most of the previous masters considered (the retinue) to manifest as buffalo faces. In order not to abandon the oral instructions and secret instructions of the lama, it is recorded here in that way as well. However, the scripture does not explicitly state that the retinue manifests as buffalo faces, and "Bhagavan is just like that" mostly refers to the similarity in demeanor and rough appearance. I think it is fine even if all the retinue manifest as wrathful faces, this is just my own conceptual thought. Some who practice the forty-nine rites make all the other males and females into buffalo faces. The tantra says to draw corpses at the eight door frames, so all eight must be wrathful faces, they say because it is not appropriate for corpses to have buffalo faces. This is a statement that does not understand the meaning at all. Generally, the explicit meaning of the tantra is the mandala of hand gestures and the arrangement of eight corpses, but making it into forty-nine is the lama's secret instruction recorded by Little Lalita, it is not the explicit meaning of the tantra. When explaining the meaning of the tantra based on this secret instruction, the eight corpses at the door frames are the seats of the deities, not the deities themselves. Therefore, although all the corpse seats of the retinue are corpses, other deities are not given seats, but hand gestures are given. At the door frames, it must be explained that the seat is the deity's symbol, because they do not understand. If one explains according to the way of explaining the mandala of the eight corpses, the meaning of corpse is not just the corpse itself, but refers to the deity who performs the actions of a corpse, so there is no contradiction even if a face appears. Regarding the hand gestures of the retinue, some think that both hands hold a head and so on, this is also not contradictory. Some people say this themselves, but then deny setting two hands and two feet on other deity symbols, this is because they are influenced by the Lord himself (Tsongkhapa).
