Moreover, there were also explanatory transmissions. In particular, he greatly propagated the instructions for accomplishing activities related to the Black Enemy (dgra nag), and the practice transmissions. After that, about fifteen or twenty years later, Nagpo Tsultrim Gyalwa (nag po tshul khrims rgyal ba) translated the Black Tantras and some methods of practice after requesting them from Jowo Je (Atiśa). Later, he requested the commentaries on the texts composed by Palden (dpal 'dzin) for Śānti Bhadra and made fundamental translations. Around the same time as Nagtsho (nag tsho), or a little later, the translator Rongzom Chözang (rong zom chos bzang) requested from Paṇḍita Upāyaśrīmitra and translated the two tantras of the Black Yamāntaka (nag 'jigs), many minor treatises, and the three contemplations. The translations of these translators were not revisions of earlier translations, but fundamental translations made by each of them through their own intellectual abilities. After the translations of Nagtsho and Rongzom, about fifteen or twenty years later, the translator Gnyö (gnyos lo tsA ba) translated and explained the Dharma of the three categories of Black Teachings. Palden saw the colophons of Gnyö's translations on some of the Black Yamāntaka texts, including the Black Teachings. Although he did not see the tantras translated by Gnyö, it seems that they existed. Around the same time, the translator Klogkya Sherab Tsek (klog skya lo tsA ba shes rab brtsegs) also made translation notes on Nagtsho's translation of the Black Tantras. About thirty years after his translation, Rawa Dorje Drak (rwa rdo rje grags) translated the two tantras of the Black Yamāntaka. For the Black Enemy, Gnyen Lo (gnyan lo) made translation notes on Nagtsho's translation, and then Rawa Lo (rwa lo) revised it. The seven contemplations seem to be closer to the Zhang translation (zhang 'gyur), so it is clear that it was revised. At the same time, there was a small translation of the Black Tantras by Zangkar (zangs kar), and a translation of the seven contemplations by Burangpa Khyungkpo Chötsön (bu rangs pa khyung po chos brtson). Some time after Rawa Lo, the younger Paṇḍita Amoghavajra came to Tibet. Kyowo Öjung (skyo 'od 'byung) requested from him, and thus the Kyo tradition arose. Some scattered instruction texts, such as the small treatises composed by Amogha himself, were also newly translated. For the large tantric treatises, neither fundamental translations nor small translations were made. At the same time, the translator Bari (ba ri lo tsA ba) requested from that Paṇḍita and is said to have translated many tantric treatises and Dharma categories of Vajrabhairava. It is said that he also requested from Bharo Chakdum (bha ro phyag sdum). A little later, Melgyo Lo

Tsawa Lodrö Drak asked the Nepalese Hadu Karpo for the three aspects of the Black Enemy and Vajrabhairava. Regarding the Black Enemy Tantra, I remember asking Lokya about it before. Mallo made minor revisions to the translation of the Seven-fold (or Seven Deities) Khyunpo Chötsön. Around the time of Mallo, the Black Enemy was very popular in India, but Vajrabhairava was hard to find. In Nepal, both the Black Enemy and Vajrabhairava were popular. Since then, it seems that no one has revised the Black Enemy and Vajrabhairava Tantras, and no new rituals, initiations, explanations, and instructions have emerged from the collaboration of Guru Rinpoche and panditas. In this part of the Snowy Land (Tibet), the Dharma cycles of Vajrabhairava have always been very popular. The Black Enemy also spread in various ways during the early period when secret mantras were very popular. Ra Lotsawa made many explanations on the Six-faced Vajrabhairava, so there are collected writings and summaries, etc. Apart from that, there is only the empowerment lineage, and not much explanation or the spread of evil mantras. There is only one translation of the Six-faced Vajrabhairava Tantra. Regarding the Black Enemy, I have seen the translations of Zhang, Naktsö, Lokya, Gurupa, Ngen, and Ra. It seems that there are many other translations, such as Nyö Zangkhar. Regarding the Seven-fold Tantra, it is said that there were previously eight translations, including those of Cho Dru Sherab Lama, Gyi Jo, Rongzom, Khutön Döndrub, Ra Lotsawa, Bari Lotsawa, Mallo, and Pandit Samaanashri. Later, Kyirong Lotsawa Ngawang said that the four translations of Cho Dru, Rongzom, Ra Lotsawa, and Bari, plus the translation of King Muniraja, which was not included in the previous eight translations, and two translations without the translator's name, make a total of fourteen translations. Therefore, since a comprehensive count has been made of the Dharma cycles of Vajrabhairava, the number of translators and translators seems to be very large. The Zhang translation has mantras and prose, and the Ra translation has verses. There is one translation that translates the entire tantra into verses. In addition, even in old versions, there are often cases where translations are mixed with each other. Later, the five lineages of Zhang, Nyö, Ra, Kyö, and Ma, assuming that all three aspects of the Black Enemy and Vajrabhairava are present, therefore, there are cases of maintaining their respective lineages without mixing, and there are cases of mixing them in various ways, and there are also cases of tracing back to one of these lineages, and then collecting everything that can be found, or following one Indian treatise for practice, etc.
