Pa. The non-dual abides within. The directions and intermediate directions are the stages of samadhi. The three aspects of union are its nature. In the center is the indestructible bindu. Accompanied by A, it becomes the life force. It gladdens and gathers the essence of all. As mentioned briefly above, the letter wheel of the mantra to be meditated upon in the heart is an eight-petaled lotus. The outer layer is white with eight petals, the inner layer is blue with eight petals, and the secret intermediate layer is red with eight petals. In this way, one should meditate with three layers. The way to place the letters on the wheel is as follows: the outer layer is wisdom, marked by vowel letters that are the nature of bliss-emptiness-appearance. The intermediate layer is the nature of the union of method and clear emptiness, marked by consonant letters and actions. The inner layer is the non-duality of wisdom-appearance and the union of method, the nature of abiding in the essence of obtaining thick emptiness that is equally blissful and clear, and non-conceptual, which are the four neuter vowels. Furthermore, on the outer and intermediate layers, letters are placed on all eight petals of the directions and intermediate directions. On the inner layer, one should attain clarity and appearance by placing them in the order of the four directions, which is samadhi. The heart is just a representation, and one should also meditate on other chakras as appropriate. The three aspects of union mean that if one focuses on those three levels of chakras, they have the power to generate the wisdom of appearance, increase, and attainment, so it is called their nature, just like the nature of sugarcane and molasses. In the center of that wheel, which is the center of the wheel, the indestructible bindu abides within the central channel. That very thing, together with the short letter A (Tibetan: ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, literal meaning: A), which is the root of all speech, should be meditated upon as the pure life-force wind. Among them, the indestructible or unassailable bindu, according to the conventional arrangement, is in the center of the heart, within the central channel, in the center of what is called the flower of the vascular tree. From the essence of the three white, red, and wind elements, it is extremely pure, about the size of a large white mustard seed or a chickpea, appearing like a rainbow. That wind is also said to be of the nature of warmth, and because it does not abide in a suitable place, it is not seen by ordinary people, but it is the object of experience for yogis who possess supreme direct perception, because it is a collection of eight elements, the realm of material particles.

It belongs to the earth element. Its form is very clear, and its tactile sensation is very subtle. The mind that relies on it also dwells mixed with the self-aware bliss that is uninterrupted by various appearances and various thoughts. The radiance, faith, and power of that bindu pervade the entire body and mind, and all the channels, energies, and bindus that generate various conventional appearances also arise in dependence on it. Although the ultimate state of abiding is the very nature of mind, the self-luminous, free from elaborations, merely by such general and broad concepts, one cannot generate a genuine understanding, except for a source that is empty, silent, and lofty. Therefore, one needs an understanding of the unique terminology of the Secret Mantra. If there is no understanding that is uncommon to Sutra, and even the understanding of Sutra is not even slightly biased, it is meaningless to carelessly support it with each and every term of the erroneous Secret Mantra. What is said here is that the mind of self-luminous nature is free from all elaborations such as existence and non-existence, being and non-being, permanence and annihilation, arising and ceasing, extremes and middle, and transcends the realm of sound and thought, so there is no object to be seen or a seer. Although it is not established in any time or place, its essence, awareness, abides immutably in great bliss. Although it does not appear in any conventional consciousness, its own nature has always dawned in all ways from the very beginning. Although it pervades all knowable objects without near or far, it pervades sentient beings with conventional consciousness like the sky pervading tangible objects. Since the pervaded consciousness itself also appears as an aspect of mind and awareness, if one is skilled in means, then the pervading self-luminous nature can also be known and experienced in the manner of a shadow. As long as it is consciousness, actual realization does not occur. It can occur if it is transformed into the wisdom of the path. The reason why the consciousness can also experience in the manner of a shadow when it is actually realized by the wisdom of the path and possesses the means is that the self-luminous nature and consciousness are the same only in terms of awareness. Although the self-luminous nature pervades all phenomena that appear as objects such as forms, the forms themselves appear as inanimate objects.
