The body is also the same.” So it is said. The former oral instruction masters also thought of this when they said that the basis for practicing the illusory body is dreaming. The terms dream enjoyment body and intermediate state enjoyment body also rely on these. In the dream, the deity's form appears like an unreal illusion, and because of this, when all appearances in the waking state can be likened to illusions, at that time, when emptiness and illusion appear in equipoise, then, in the post-meditation state, whatever realization arises that all appearances are understood as illusory like conventional illusions, that is like an illusion, it is the oral instruction of the stages of the illusory body. In this small treatise, in the sections such as “sign” and “that which has a sign,” the characteristics of the wisdom body have already been explained, so here, for the initial practitioner, the practice and practical application of the illusory body are clearly shown. From the oral instructions of Jetsun Marpa Lhodrakpa, in the oral instructions of the Five Stages and the Six Dharmas, the oral instructions of dream and intermediate state are made as limbs of the illusory body. In some mother tantra oral instructions, the oral instruction of dream is also made as the root of the illusory body, and the words of this treatise are also like that. The sixth is, from the meditation of knowing the nature, it says: “Samadhi not born from means, Self-luminous essence non-conceptual, Clear light ultimate wisdom.” Here, “From the meditation of knowing the nature,” shows the practice of clear light. “Clear light ultimate order,” shows the ultimate clear light seeing path manifest enlightenment. The two intermediate lines, such as not relying on means, show the object of the clear light order, the truth to be realized, the ultimate truth, the reality of the dharmadhatu itself. Here, the clear light of the path that realizes is also called the ultimate truth, because it is unfailing in the way of realizing the ultimate and is able to function. Therefore, the object to be directly realized by this path is the samadhi that does not arise from means, that is, does not arise from cause, that is, the great bliss of self-nature, and that itself is self-luminous from the beginning, completely, and one's own essence is completely beyond all elaboration, the non-conceptual emptiness, that is, from the perspective of negation, it is unborn, and from the perspective of establishment, it is the three of bliss, clarity, and non-conceptuality, here it is shown to possess four characteristics.

It is only certain through practice, because this Dharmadhatu is the ultimate mind of one-pointedness. Although it is the pinnacle of Samadhi, it is not produced by means, but arises naturally. The term Samadhi comes from the Sanskrit word Sarvadhi (Tibetan: ས་བཱ་དྷི།, Devanagari: सर्वाधि, Romanized Sanskrit: sarvādhi, Literal meaning: complete mastery). It means to completely and thoroughly grasp, to constantly grasp, that is, to guide without change. Therefore, it is also necessary to understand that it translates into the meaning of "unchanging bliss." The characteristic of emptiness is solely non-conceptuality. Moreover, it is self-awareness, not a negative void. When this sequence reaches its ultimate point, that reality is directly realized. Its practice is: to practice through two meditations that clearly focus on and understand the nature of reality. As it is said in the Compendium of Practice Light: "Just as the water of a river or a high place gathers together without impurity, so too, the yogi should constantly contemplate the subsequent dissolution of it. Just as the wind gradually dissipates on a mirror, so too, it should be observed. For grasping the whole, one should also correctly observe the sequence of actions in this way." Furthermore, it is clearly stated in the Five Stages: "The disciple who has received the oral instructions should then learn the two yogas, namely the sequence of grasping the whole, and the subsequent dissolution." Etc., have been clearly explained. For beginners, when practicing by taking the form as the path, through the visualization of the generation stage, due to factors such as the emission and retraction of light rays, merely retracting one's own body into emptiness is called grasping the whole. Like gradually retracting all the container and contents world from the outside in, this is known as subsequent dissolution. For yogis who have attained the stage of luminosity, there is no need to practice these. Because what is practiced is its symbolic meaning, the main focus is on one's own body, and whatever appears directly, expanding it with bliss and emptiness, causing the appearing thing to immediately and simultaneously disappear and dissolve into emptiness, this is grasping the whole. If all expanded appearances are expanded with bliss and emptiness and practiced, because this object is very vast, it will not dissolve into emptiness simultaneously, but will gradually dissolve, this is subsequent dissolution. There are two ways of dissolving: one is that on top of all appearances, the experience of emptiness becomes more and more intense, and dissolves into emptiness simultaneously; the other is that one object dissolves first, and then the others gradually dissolve.
