Moreover, the three appearances that occur below the state of speechlessness do not fully possess all these characteristics. Secondly, regarding the three appearances that are separate from inherent existence, these three appearances at the time of attaining enlightenment are the means to abandon the seeds of the eighty types of conceptual thoughts of inherent existence. Although they are not actually abandoned, they can be categorized as the three appearances separate from inherent existence from the perspective of conformity. The three appearances that arise in reverse order when arising from the path of seeing, and the momentary bliss obtained after attaining union, which belongs to the category of the three appearances of great wisdom, are repeatedly cultivated with the great bliss arising from subtle melting bliss. These are called the three appearances separate from inherent existence. Their characteristics are also similar to the three appearances of mental quiescence. Furthermore, it should be understood in this way: the three appearances of the base state, when they appear at special times, have similarities in their main characteristics, but mostly they are the same in terms of bliss, clarity, and non-conceptuality. The fundamental three appearances are not actually the same as the way the three appearances of the path appear, but the appearances and characteristics of the three appearances of the path, as the basis and ability to arise, are all fully possessed. The nature arising from the three appearances is generally all kinds of conceptual thoughts, so it is difficult to enumerate them. Even so, in the third chapter of the Vajramala, it says: "Day and night, constantly, one hundred and eight more clearly, the winds of the nature of discrimination, when arising and ceasing, thus, thus, well distinguish, listen to the names of all the winds. Letting go, holding, and trillion, feeling and evil wisdom." Up to "the name of the Vajra Independent Wind," it speaks of one hundred and eight names of winds, and these winds circulate in the six chakras, etc., showing various classifications. These winds are the mounts, and the conceptual thoughts of the nature riding on them are also, "When the winds run clearly, that is the difference of the place, turning into various discriminations. Having distinguished the discriminations, the names of them will be declared, desire, hatred, and ignorance, pride and arrogance."

Attached to various discriminations. It starts from "Attachment arises to samsara, constantly more than one hundred and eight, day and night constantly, the nature of wind is moving." That is also for the purpose of generating discrimination, the winds rise from the heart chakra. From midnight to noon, the winds sequentially flow in the six chakras with a count of nine nines. And also dissolves into emptiness within the central channel, the realm of non-discrimination. Similarly, from noon to midnight, it also flows and dissolves in this way. Those winds go to each pulse point, nourishing the ability to generate one hundred and eight discriminations in one day and night and abide there. From that, whatever external conditions are encountered, that and that appear clearly. The so-called nine-nine winds refer to the nine out of the ten winds excluding the pervasive wind, which should be investigated. Also, in the Tantra of the Compendium of All Vajra Wisdom, it says: Ignorance, that is, the seven discriminations that follow after obtaining appearance, as well as the four discriminations of the retinue wheel, and the detachment from attachment of the appearance wheel. Actually, there are twelve, and from etc., it explains how to combine them reasonably. In order to understand the method of dividing the nature into three appearances and combining them, this is the root source of the tantric words. In the "Differentiation of the Limits of Action," Nagarjuna says, "A moment of detachment from desire and fear." And so on, similar to the way of combining the three appearances into five stages and abbreviated practice, but some are omitted in the middle, and actually fifty-four are said. On that, by distinguishing between day and night, one hundred and eight discriminations are formed. The counting method is slightly different from the one hundred and eight spoken from the rosary. The meaning of those discriminations also being said to arise from the three appearances is: taking the three root consciousnesses and the three root winds as the cause, especially when they appear, taking the three appearances accompanied by wind as the condition, when encountering external objects, the corresponding discriminations will arise, but not from the three appearances of the path. The wind nourishes the power of all discriminations to arise, making the power ripen.
