TNT05 0005.The Great Commentary on the Five Stages The Thought of the Great Vajradhara..g2.0f

English

There are other translations as well, but here it is explained according to the translation of the translator Rinchen Zangpo. In this lineage's generation stage treatises, whether they are concise explanations, extensive explanations, or sequential outlines, there are explanations by the early Ngok clan father and sons, and later the Avadhutipa lineage also has many extensive explanations. Moreover, these generation stage treatises are mostly easy to understand in terms of words and meanings, so I won't go into detail. With just this much, one can understand the outline of the first stage of this lineage without inversion. Furthermore, in terms of categories, the great scholar Abhayakaragupta once said: The body of the Bhagavan generated by a moment of intense faith is like the state of existence in the bardo. After that, sequentially blocking, the bodhicitta in which the sun, moon, lotus, and three letters, as well as stability and movement, have become one, completely becoming the mudra and seed of the first protector's body, which is the mind abiding in samadhi, named Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum), is like the state of a fetus. After that, like the state of being born, it is the state of equanimity with a woman adorned with form and youth, and so on. This refers to entering the vast immovable (Buddha).

This is not reasonable, although some may object that it contradicts the order of stages. However, since this teacher does not accept the order of stages, such objections cannot be established. Nevertheless, as far as our own tradition is concerned, the texts on the order of stages are extremely excellent, and all the previous masters unanimously believe that they were composed by Nagarjuna. For the time being, among these two views, one should follow the order of stages. The purity of the mandala with the support and the supported should be understood from the "Ear of Instructions" composed by Abhayakaragupta. By combining all the secret tantras, the twenty-chapter mandala ritual of Nagarjuna, and the purity of the three faces in the order of stages, one can also gain certainty. In this way, obtaining the samadhi of the subtle and coarse mandalas with three characteristics, as it is said in the scriptures: "Those with form, sound, and taste, the wise meditate for six months." Like this, at the time of practicing conduct, or even if one does not practice the vows of a consort, in the seventeenth chapter it says: "All three postures of the body should arise from the vajra. In all realms of sentient beings, constantly making the body of the Buddha." As it is said in detail, one should understand that even the exact words of those vows that were spoken can be practiced for the benefit of sentient beings. Furthermore, the body, speech, and mind, if they abide in happiness, one will attain enlightenment. And, upon passing away, one becomes the nature of the three vajras. The unchanging vajra becomes fierce. And, unbearable ascetic meditation, even if relied upon, will not be accomplished. Relying on all sensual enjoyments, one will quickly be accomplished. And, the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, and the supreme practices of mantra, also attain the supreme, unwavering Dharma by relying on all sensual pleasures. Like this, all the teachings on how to use sensual pleasures as the path will be accomplished at that time. The practice of the completion stage In general, it is the same. However, there, the infinite play of wisdom is mainly involved, so external sensual pleasures are not the only important thing. Therefore, the time when using external sensual pleasures as the path is most important is the stage of progression.
