It is said that this is a fault of view. After examining it myself, I believe that the customs of the predecessors are not at fault, but rather this explanation itself is flawed, because it cites the views of the Lokayata (materialist) school of thought among the Tirthikas (non-Buddhist schools). Therefore, the body that can enter anywhere without obstruction is subtle, not harmed by the four elements, and indestructible. Because it can travel equally in the sky, it is light. Because it can benefit beings in many places simultaneously with many bodies, it is pervasive. Coarse appearances arise like illusions, which is the truth obtained through the power of samadhi. Because it can display miraculous powers to others, it is very manifest. Because there is no fear or shyness, it is stable. Because it can accomplish its own desired goals without relying on others, it is independent. Because many actions and accomplishments are achieved by mere thought, it is all-accomplishing. The detailed classifications of conduct should be learned elsewhere. Now, I will briefly explain the classifications of the ten bhumis (grounds) of the learning of union. As it says in the Vajra Heart Ornament Tantra: "What are the ten bhumis? They are the Joyful Ground, the Stainless Ground, the Luminous Ground, the Radiant Ground, the Difficult to Conquer Ground, the Manifest Ground, the Far-Reaching Ground, the Immovable Ground, the Ground of Good Intelligence, and the Cloud of Dharma Ground. All the grounds are of one meaning, which is the meaning of wisdom. Wisdom is also nothing, without afflictions, without letters, meaningful, primordially pure, without defilement, luminous, and the meaning of being beyond expression." Thus it is said. Therefore, all the grounds are wisdom, which is the way of realizing the primordial state. The primordial state to be realized is without any elaboration of subject and object, the luminosity in which all forms of its own nature appear, and because it abides constantly with an unchanging essence, it is meaningful. Because it has never been stained by any temporary defilements from its own side, it is primordially pure. Therefore, the wisdom of the path, which arises in the same way as it is realized by the yogi's knowledge, which is characterized by being without afflictions, is all virtuous dharma.

It is called Earth because it is the basis of all things. As for the general characteristics of Joyful and so on, they are as described in the Paramita Sutras, so they will not be discussed here for the time being. The unique meaning is this: the nature of bliss and emptiness completely transformed, mainly used to experience co-emergent joy, therefore it is the Extremely Joyful. On top of that, it is mainly used to remove the impurities of wind and conceptualization, therefore it is the Immaculate. From the aspect of means, it is mainly used for the wisdom of the transformed winds, therefore it is the Luminous. From the aspect of wisdom, it is mainly used for the wisdom of the transformed winds, therefore it is the Flaming. The wisdom of the transformed winds of the senses and objects, which is difficult to be shaken by any external conditions, is mainly used for the Difficult to Conquer. The wheel of the mandala of completely purified channels manifests, mainly used to experience this, therefore it is the Manifest. Only the slightest impurities of the three appearances without afflictions are removed, far surpassing samsara, therefore it is the Far Gone. It mainly uses the immovable, unchanging Dharmakaya, therefore it is the Immovable Ground. Speech corresponds to the thoughts of each being to be tamed, only good, possessing the wisdom to teach the Dharma, therefore it is the Good Intelligence. The mind is as vast as the sky, covered by clouds of great bliss, raining down the wisdom to enter all knowable things, therefore it is the Cloud of Dharma. These last three grounds, according to the order of the three subtle appearances from light to heavy, are established as the grounds of body, speech, and mind. For the time being, the qualities of the ten grounds, and the establishment of these as the twelve wisdom grounds, also come from that tantra. As it is said in the scripture: Among all forms, the only supreme, In samadhi, one gains mastery, Wisdom, the perfection of wisdom, is supreme, Earth and the perfection of wisdom are strength, The four great abodes of Brahma, The powers are supremely blazing, The four mindfulnesses, The faculties and the powers, And the six recollections, Should be cultivated, That is the only Bhagavan, Established as the seven limbs of enlightenment, Completely perfect.
