This is explained. Here, in the Compendium of Conduct, from "Abiding in the manner of the form and truth of the great being of wisdom, and possessing the nature of self-luminous light," to "The body of wisdom and self-arisen," fifty-seven names of union are explained. As for directing names to other aspects, any word or name such as unborn, etc., is a name that shows non-dual wisdom, and these words are the names of this union, and are words that indicate this as what is to be said. In short, in that and that Dharma principle, there is no other object of expression other than this union, and this is explained so that everyone may realize this principle. Regarding "unborn, etc.," in the Compendium of Conduct, from "light, all emptiness, and the wisdom of the Buddha, vajra wisdom," to "the mother of the three wisdoms and the three noble ones, the perfection of wisdom, and that which causes all afflictions to cease," ninety-six names of light are spoken, like this, because all unions are the nature of light, so the names of light also become the names of union. The subsequent meaning is that Buddhas as numerous as the sands of the Ganges are symbolic, and whatever Buddhas of the three times, past, present, and future, have comprehended these stages of union, abandoning the side of existence, samsara, and the side of non-existence, the annihilation of nirvana, and have attained the nature of the supreme accomplishment of the non-abiding nirvana, the great seal. Therefore, without meditating on the union of the path, one cannot attain Buddhahood, because the footprints of all Buddhas are this union, so all dharmas show this union. This single verse also only shows the union of no more learning. Fourth, explaining the form of the conduct of the vows of the stages of union, that is: The great yogi who abides in the state of union and is learning, because he has practiced union, his behavior is also non-dual with it. Just as oneself treats the enemy, just as the wife treats the daughter, just as the prostitute treats the mother, just as the Brahmin treats the outcaste.

Like skin is clothing, like a precious umbrella, like alcohol and excrement, like food is excretion, like the pleasant scent of camphor, similarly there is the smell arising from excrement, like words of praise, similarly there are words of slander, like the powerful Vajradhara, like day is night, like a dream is appearance, like fear is abiding, like happiness is suffering, like hatred is a son, the Avici hell is like the heavenly realm, similarly there are sins and merits. Having understood thus, the wise one, without doubt, does everything. If all hidden yogas are practiced, all perfections will be accomplished. Thus it is said. Among these, wise conduct, because it is the cause that brings one closer to the fruition, is not a part of the non-learning union. Therefore, the great accomplished yogi who has attained the stage of union, while training on the path, meditates on the wisdom of union in equipoise. In the post-meditation state, the practice of wise conduct should also be inseparable from that union. How should one practice? The yogi who has attained the stage of union, his root body is the very body of union, and it is not just one, but manifests into many bodies, and each of those bodies, together with the retinue born from the illusion of his own wisdom and immeasurable clouds of offerings, practices in the pure realms, making offerings to the Buddhas, listening to the Dharma, receiving empowerments, and practicing together, etc., in order to increase the wisdom of great bliss of his own great desire's samadhi, accomplishing it by connecting in three ways. That emanation of union, in the impure realms, benefits beings through the gate of taming whatever needs to be tamed. Therefore, it is not certain that the three practices are performed in front of other beings, but all of those are to increase the co-emergent wisdom of one's own continuum, and to gather all appearances into it. Therefore, it is related to the wise conduct of the wisdom body itself, and by perfecting the special accumulation, the qualities of body and wisdom will also increase.
