Even if the distinctions of sixteen moments, etc., are not explained, one must wish to abide for a long time. Among them, in the very first moment, one abandons the impure aggregates and elements, as well as all the seeds of affliction, so that they will not arise again in the future. When one arises from that, the body of the dual union of the learner is accomplished, and the three appearances that are devoid of inherent existence arise in reverse order. That is, it is said to be accomplished in a moment when the body is accomplished in just the time it takes for a sesame seed to fall off or for the eyes to blink. If one analyzes with reason, there is no indivisible moment in time, so it is not possible to accomplish the body of dual union in one indivisible moment. Therefore, it is also not the case that the three appearances do not completely reverse when the body of dual union is being accomplished. That is, it is the meaning of fully accomplishing the characteristics of having become dual union. It is not that there is no body at the time of the clear light of the path of seeing. Therefore, the statement that the illusory body completely dissolves into the clear light means that all the aggregates and elements gathered by the coarse body, which is the basis of the illusory body, dissolve completely, and that all the appearances of the three realms of samsara mixed on top of the illusory body dissolve completely. Also, in the yogi's own mind's appearance, one abides equally in the bliss that is co-emergent with the clear light of meaning, which is equal to space and without beginning or end. Therefore, it is intended that the appearance of the deity's body merely disappears under its power. In this way, it is also said in the Explanatory Tantra Vajra Garland: 'Whatever is the characteristic of the Buddha's body, that which is spoken of as conventional truth, that itself, through the transformation of complete union, is completely purified in the clear light.' Having said that, the body of the illusory body that gradually ascends is also enlightened in its own nature or characteristics, and there is no difference from the body of dual union. However, it is defiled by the appearances of the three realms of samsara, and exists like gold covered with black grime. If it is washed and completely purified in the clear light, it will become the dual union of complete yoga. It is also said: 'Other than my blessings, there are no other jewels here. Like a jewel refined by fire, its nature is clear light, completely pure.' This also appears. The first attainment of the clear light of meaning is at the time of the path of seeing. The previous continuum of the illusory body is without...

Therefore, if it is said that when arising from luminosity, the union arises, then it is very inconsistent with the analogy of a jewel refined by fire. Furthermore, if we differentiate very carefully, then the body of the union of learning is not solely of the nature of luminosity, nor is it merely the appearance of the Dharma nature. Although it is covered by the appearance of cognitive obscurations, it is said to be very pure, without defilement, and of the nature of solely self-luminous, in relation to the former. At this time, Tsetang Lotsawa Zhonnu Pal said that when meditating on the stages of manifest enlightenment, one needs to rely on the material bindu at the tip of the secret place, using desire as the path, relying on the union of bliss and emptiness, which is the stage of manifest enlightenment; at the tip of the heart, relying on the mantra bindu, using hatred as the path, practicing the stage of the wisdom mudra of destroying afflictions; and at the tip of the navel and forehead, relying on the wind bindu, using ignorance as the path, practicing the stage of the great mudra of wind and tummo yoga. These three are necessary. This seems to include the three mudras mentioned in the Kalachakra, and the instructions known as the Six Dharmas of the Great Seal in this tradition, as the ultimate goal, but it is not necessary to separately use the three poisons as the path. Even if it is necessary, the latter two are not necessarily like that, and for them, it is not necessary to have separate, definite, and different objects of meditation. It is said in Vajra recitation that the luminosity of meaning can be accomplished through Vajra recitation, but this is not just the Vajra recitation relying on the tip of the forehead, but it is the name for repeatedly entering the luminosity of body, speech, and mind. Therefore, this explanation also seems profound and extensive because it does not see the essence, but in reality, if examined carefully, it is something that cannot be examined. Therefore, the action mudra and meditation are combined into one during practice and are not different. In general, the karma mudra mentioned in other tantras, and the union of emptiness and form, in this system of the noble lineage, seem to be called the mind's consort and the wisdom mudra residing in the heart. The analogy for the two meditations is that just as when breath is blown on a mirror, the color changes and gathers from the edges to the center, then disappears and dissolves, so too, the illusory body of the yogi, relying on the two types of meditation, reaches the ultimate shore.
