TNT05 0005.The Great Commentary on the Five Stages The Thought of the Great Vajradhara..g2.0f

English

There is no need to learn, because there is no need to strive to achieve, so one no longer learns any path that is different from the previous one. However, it is not that one does not learn the similar lineage of what has already been obtained, which will be explained in detail in the fifth stage. This union yoga is an extremely complete yoga. Therefore, the "completion" in the so-called "completion stage" refers to union, and the "stage" refers to the path that accomplishes it. The "path" here is not just a long process, but refers to the method that can manifest its face. In this way, the yogi of union is called the great Vajradhara. Such a person, by learning the lineage of union and the practice of mantra, will obtain the union that does not need to be learned, possessing all the supreme omniscient state, and it will not be long. This is because the nature of mind is inherently luminous and completely pure, without any of the two obscurations and their habitual tendencies. Therefore, the samsara and nirvana that arise in the past, future, and present, or the three existences of conventional truth and ultimate truth, will be completely and without remainder seen in the same instant, thereby gaining wisdom and abiding constantly. The third is the order of the guru's oral instructions. In the glorious Guhyasamaja Tantra, it says: "These natures are the place of expansion, following the spoken tantra, one should know from the guru's mouth." This means that in the root tantra of the glorious Guhyasamaja Vajra, these suchnesses of the stages of the path are expanded by six methods, such as those with intention. Since it exists in the intention of the tantra in a symbolic way, there is no clear expression. However, through the explanatory tantras such as the Intent Manifest and the Vajra Garland, following the explanation of the meaning of the root tantra, one should realize it from the oral instructions of the guru. Therefore, this shows that a combination of what is said in the tantra and the guru's oral instructions is needed. Even if one knows what is said in the tantra, if there is no guru's oral instruction, it cannot be put into practice and will deviate from the point. In order to prevent forged oral instructions, it is not enough to just say that it is an oral instruction, it must also be said in the root tantra and the explanatory tantra. These.

However, it will be explained in the context of each of the main points. Here, I will briefly mention that the nature of the stages, the divisions, the definite number, the definite order, the classification and summarization that are consistent with reality and subsequent stages, the characteristics of the six limbs, and the characteristics of the three yogas need to be determined by seven key points. First, the nature, and second, the classification, are easier to explain together, so let's do it this way: The nature of the generation stage is that it is truly established by one's own cause of conceptual thought, and it is a deity yoga of either conceptual or non-conceptual nature. It purifies by resembling the three states of birth, death, and intermediate state of samsara, and it uses the three kayas as the path by resembling them. The necessity is that it becomes the basis for the maturation of the completion stage, and the companion is the samadhi adorned with artificial bliss and emptiness. The divisions are the samadhi of the practice of the generation stage, the actual samadhi of the generation stage, and the generation stage related to the completion stage, which are three divisions from the perspective of the practitioner. If we consider the deity to be meditated upon, there are two types: the complete mandala and the partial meditation. The divisions of the limbs of samadhi are the four limbs of approach and accomplishment, the four yogas, the three samadhis, and the six limbs, etc. From the perspective of the stage of accomplishing siddhis, there are recitation, near recitation, practice, and great practice. From the perspective of high and low practice, there are conceptual yoga and one-pointed mindfulness. The nature of body isolation is the deity's body that arises only in the mind from the state of bliss and emptiness, without being generated by conceptual thoughts. The divisions are two types of activity isolation: meditative equipoise and subsequent attainment, or one type of extensive stage, the hundred families, two types of stages, the five families, three types of stages, the three families, and four types of extensive stages, the one great secret family, for a total of four. The nature of speech isolation is that by knowing the characteristics of the winds and the true meaning of mantras, the great winds, with the life wind as the main one, enter the central channel and perform the three dissolutions, and the function of stabilizing the dissolutions. The divisions are meditating on a drop of light at the tip of the nose on the face, and meditating on the indestructible drop at the tip of the heart.

And, meditating on the material bindu at the tip of the secret place. First, for the first one, there are vajra recitations of the four protector deities of means, vajra recitations of the four wisdom goddesses, vajra recitations of the winds of the secret limbs, and so on. Among the many divisions of vajra recitation, this is the vajra recitation for training the channels. Although it can bind the winds in the central channel after a very long time, it is praised for loosening the coarse knots of the channels because it trains the channels. The second is praised for first gathering the winds into the central channel and finally binding them in the bindu of the central channel. The third is to enhance the power of both of these. The nature of mind isolation is the wisdom of bliss and emptiness that arises from the bindu becoming stable as the winds of discursive thoughts gradually dissolve in the chakras through the power of meditation. If divided, there are the practice of mind isolation and actual mind isolation. In reality, there are the stage of appearance, the stage of increase, the stage of attainment, and the ultimate example of clear light, which are four. The nature of the stages of the illusory body is that it is born from the bliss of dissolution, with the wind-mind of clear light as the cause and the indestructible wind as the condition, appearing as a mandala of illusory deities, experiencing the representation of its nature through bliss and emptiness, and functioning as the samadhi that can perform the actions of a yogi's body. If divided, there are the illusory body of meditative equipoise, the illusory body of subsequent attainment, the illusory body of dreams, and the illusory body of the bardo, which are four, or there are three: newly attained, increasing, and ultimate. The nature of the stages of clear light is that its function is to destroy the afflictive winds and their seeds, and its nature is the path that accomplishes the manifest realization of the emptiness of coemergent great bliss. If divided, there are the practice of the clear light of meaning and the actual clear light of meaning, or there are the manifest enlightenment of inner and outer, and the meditation of gathering and scattering. The nature of union is the wisdom in which the great bliss of directly realizing the nature of reality and the infinite mandala of wisdom are established as inseparable in nature. If divided, there are the union of the path of learning and the path of no learning, and the path of learning can be divided into the ten or twelve bhumis of the noble ones, while the path of no learning is the nature of the four kayas and five wisdoms. Third, the definite number depends on the need.
