Ba is the complete holding. The light of Samadhi's mind, first transforms all external and internal phenomena into a mandala. Then, dissolving them into luminosity, and finally dissolving oneself as before, is the sequence of subsequent dissolution. Regarding this, the Ngorpa (འགོས་ལུགས་) masters believe that because it is the root deity, there is the complete holding and dissolution of Vajradhara, and the complete holding and dissolution of the Three Vajras mentioned in the eleventh chapter of the Root Tantra. Prior to this, during the vows of the Space Vajra, subsequent dissolution was mentioned. Although it is not explicitly stated in the commentary, it is also considered to be obtained in meaning in the yoga of single-pointed mindfulness. As the tantra says: "Having perfected the vows of wisdom, the supreme of the five vows of speech, abiding in the path of the words of Dharma, one will become equal to Vajra Dharma." In the lamp commentary on this verse, it says: "By this principle, it is the supreme of the five, the five Tathagatas, to be meditated upon by stacking the three deities." Also, Vajra is the conventional truth, Dharma is the ultimate truth, the Vajra with Dharma is Vajra Dharma, which is the state of the Great Vajradhara, which will be obtained. Seeing its meaning in this way, they also allow the complete holding and subsequent dissolution of the five families, and for them, they also make various establishments such as meditating separately and meditating together. The Marpa (མར་ལུགས་) masters also believe that only the complete holding and dissolution of Vajradhara should be meditated upon, but in reality, in this, other than the difference in the form of the deity and the seed syllable, nothing else appears. Therefore, there is no distinction as to whether these are feasible for them. Whether it is applied to the Buddha, Bodhisattva, Wrathful Deity, or Consort, it is all possible, and there is no difference in the necessary meaning. In any case, completely dissolving one's own deity body into emptiness is the complete holding; first dissolving the appearance of the external environment and beings, and then dissolving oneself, is the subsequent dissolution. Secondly, meditating in the manner of actualizing is not like the conceptual meditation just mentioned, but rather focusing the mind on the co-emergent bliss, causing the winds and bindus to merge into one, and those dissolve from other channels, dissolving into the central channel of the conventional channels.

Descending, it ultimately dissolves into the true central channel. When it becomes the bindu of the nature of wind, the mount of luminosity gathered by the path, all the various appearances related to the illusory body also merge into the yogi's own appearances, and ultimately transform into the nature of one great bliss. The reason for this is that by relying on the actual or wisdom mudra, one abides in the arising of coemergence. It is because the winds of the aggregates, elements, and sense bases gather and dissolve into the central channel. Only the aggregates gathered by one's own continuum enter into luminosity; this is to hold it completely. When one such sequence has preceded and there is a very thick experience of melting bliss, if it is expanded and deconstructed, and extended to all ordinary appearances, then those appearances will also spontaneously transform into the form of an illusory deity. If the extension of bliss to it is further prolonged, then both ordinary appearances and deity appearances will subside, and a great bliss of non-appearance, pervading like space, will arise. The reason for this is that the melting bliss, inseparable from the nature of mind, extends to all these karmic appearances. When the wind that has the power to manifest various external appearances on one's own body and mind gathers back together with the bindu, the deity appears like an illusion. When it dissolves into the central channel, the appearance of the external deity subsides and transforms into the sole great bliss. At the time when appearances arise merely as bliss and emptiness, by abiding in the very nature of coemergence, the grasping that belongs to the nature of the body, and the winds that generate the appearances of the six consciousnesses, gather and dissolve as before, so that the mandala of the illusory body abiding in its own place also becomes invisible and merges into one taste with the previous bliss-emptiness, space-like state. This is the subsequent yoga of destruction. Although both have a similar meaning of gathering from the outside in, since one abides in a state of mind-bliss-emptiness pervading, it is not a dissolution from the edge to the center by gathering the parts. And since the deity of the illusory body as the support is actually accomplished, it does not completely disappear at that time, but is blessed by the melting bliss and the great bliss of its own nature.
