Now, the mind of clear light that has become the cause. Although mere awareness itself is not habit, it is called the pure one. However, there is no part of awareness that is not pervaded by habit, because its habits are not singular, but all habits are mixed and gathered and pervade. That is because it is the mind relative to this self, and the power of habit, in the manner of images appearing in that mind, also arises as awareness that moves in various objects. The appearance of objects that become the appearance of those awarenesses also has the ability to grow, existing in the nature of moving objects. That is coarser than the previous pure mind and is the creator of forms with shapes, so it is the seed of the body and the dharma of the body. In terms of this meaning, because of moving, it is also established as the dharma of wind. Therefore, the mind of clear light and the wind that is its mount are those here, and this alone is the root of samsara. Since I also establish the name of I or self on this, it is said that samsara arises from one's own mind and not from others. The two statements, 'The six realms have no autonomy of their own, autonomy is clear light,' have the same meaning. The clear light that has become consciousness is also empty in the same way, and is only to be spoken of as the name of wisdom. This is the actual clear light of the base time, and it always exists in sentient beings, but like gold ore pervading gold ore, it exists mostly in an unclear state and is not understood. It is slightly clearer in states such as sleep and dreams, and even more clearly appears at the time of death and bardo. The reason for the appearance is that the wind of conceptual movement dissolves. At that time, the habit becomes strong, and from it arises the finest wind belonging to the element particle dharma, which actually produces appearances such as dreams and bardo. From there, the intermediate wind of the element body arises, first accomplishing the gross body, and when it is accomplished, the gross winds of the element body such as the ten winds arise, producing various things such as happiness and suffering, and the expression of speech, and aging and death, and so on. After the gross body is accomplished.

In relation to this, the container world and enjoyments also appear in a coarse manner. Thus, it is said in the Vajra Garland Tantra: "Apart from one's own life, which has become the essence, there is nothing else in the three realms. These three realms of illusory wind, are seen like a dream." And it is said: "Birth, abiding, and destruction, and abiding in the intermediate state, as measured by the world, are all transformations of the wind of the mind." Having said that, the appearance in the three realms is without essence, it appears even though it is non-existent. The agent and the actor who have become its essence, there is nothing other than one's own mind mixed with wind. The mind is the cause and the wind is the condition, and the three realms are seen like dreaming a dream. All the six realms of beings, the three of birth, abiding, and destruction, and all the intermediate states, the appearances of the world are such, although it is conceptually measured that there is an external object, there is no external object, it is only a transformation of wind and mind. It is also said in the Prophecy of Intentions: "Conscious and unconscious, those who are designated as sentient beings, all of these arise from the wind, and again cease from the wind. That mind which does not discriminate, even though it abides in the ocean of samsara, that is inverted, and the mind will also go to dogs, jackals, elephants, and horses." Thus it is said that sentient beings go to various paths by wind and mind, and all arise from the wind of clear light and cease into the wind of clear light, and all the actions of arising, ceasing, going, and coming are done by the wind. Here, some scholars say that it is only shown that there is no primordial body other than wind and mind, but it is not shown that there is no external object. It seems that it is for the sake of conforming to one's own wishes that the root commentary and tenets are added, but there is no need to conform, because it has already been said above. In particular, Aryadeva said in the Sequence of Self-Blessing: "Since external objects do not exist, one should regard this as one's own mind, and after meditating on illusion in this way, one should also remember that." Thus it is said that on the level of not measuring and not examining, the existence of external objects is not prevented, and in the case of slight examination, external objects are not established and known.
