Moreover, as stated in the first chapter of the Śrīcakrasaṃvara Tantra, all luminosity is emptiness, thoroughly revealed as reality. The thusness that is devoid of the three wisdoms refers to abandoning the three conceptual appearances. It is expounded using words such as "non-desire." Similarly, in the second chapter, the Bodhicitta chapter, of the Root Tantra of the Glorious Guhyasamāja, it says: "There is no object, nor is there meditation; what is meditated upon is not meditation. Thus, because of object and non-object, meditation is without an object." Etc., with verses on the bodhicitta of the six lineages, this characteristic of manifest enlightenment, luminosity, is taught. This luminosity is the place where all defilements such as desire are completely purified, it is the basis of purification or the basis to be purified, as stated in the Śrīparamādya Tantra. Furthermore, in that tantra it says: "The place where desire is completely purified is the place of the bodhisattva." Similarly, it is also taught in relation to hatred and delusion. Considering that very luminosity, the Tathāgata Śākyamuni, in the sutras such as the Prajñāpāramitā, taught the reality of all dharmas as emptiness. Therefore, whatever thusness is closely shown in the various sutras and tantras, all of those are the place of luminosity, great bliss, and all emptiness; all is emptiness and also a place. The meaning of place is the basis, which is not merely emptiness, but wisdom. In those sutras and tantras, the ultimate object of expression, the reality of things, is none other than this luminosity. Among the eighty-four thousand aggregates of dharma spoken by the Great Sage, this characteristic of manifest enlightenment, luminosity, is the essence of the essence of all the dharmas of the ground, path, and fruit. It is spoken of as supreme, precious, unchanging, and in a hidden manner. The term "manifest enlightenment" does not only refer to the stage of manifest enlightenment within the five paths, but is the name for the luminosity of the ultimate reality, the dharmadhātu's own nature. If one does not realize this place, then whether one bears the burden of matted hair, practices naked asceticism, or...

Or touching to make the head round, or a crest, that is, a binding of the crown or head ornament. Like these and so on, having various signs and various behaviors, such as: abiding by the law in the assembled sangha, or entering alone into a solitary abandonment, that is, the two behaviors of restraining body, speech, and mind. And the order of acting as a self-proclaimed rational ascetic, not restraining desires, that is, represented by these three behaviors. Although wanting to attain manifest enlightenment and liberation through various signs and behaviors, if they do not know how to practice this wisdom of purifying the three appearances, then they lack the method of suchness, that is, they lack skillful means. Therefore, their path will not attain liberation, because of the reason that they lack the method of purifying the three appearances of the path's suchness. Therefore, here, even the Hinayana or Mahayana aryas realize that suchness. Merely realizing that suchness does not require coemergent luminosity, but if it is said that it is necessary to realize that suchness through bliss, etc., that is because of being overly attached to unreasonable tenets, resulting in an excessive stubbornness in maintaining one's own claims. The ultimate reality of suchness is only seen by the wisdom of the Buddha. Also, if one thinks that if one realizes reality, one must realize all its differences, and argues that all realities are of the same nature, and quotes the essence of meaning as being one, etc., when speculating on profound meanings, this is like a right-leaning cleverness, which is a laughing matter, so I will not elaborate here. Realizing the dharmata through bliss, if it is said that the dharmata appears as the nature of bliss, and one realizes it oneself, then that is good. If it is said that one remembers the unreal object of reason through feeling bliss, then such a desire of yours is impossible from the beginning. Why is it not possible? Because entering the object of reason is accompanied by wisdom and attention, how can one remember the object of investigation through feeling? Think carefully! The third part of the root of the extensive explanation is the explanation of the boundaries and increase of the path. It is divided into two: boundaries and increase. The first is: By the combination of the initial karma, one will attain the eighth bhumi. Having attained the three appearances, in the ten bhumis,
