It is because all phenomena are like illusions, and because the appearances of what is completely imputed are merely mental fabrications. If you think that the object of meditation is conceptual thought, but it is closely related to the body, even so, it may be possible to touch the essential points of the material central channel, but it has not gone in the direction of the wisdom central channel. In the Mind at Rest and other treatises, the meditation on letters, bindus, etc., with conceptual thought is denigrated, while the meditation on space is praised. According to your view, if you identify space as the empty space in the channels meditated on with conceptual thought, then either it will contradict the Mind at Rest, or it should be considered that meditating on the empty central channel without letters, bindus, etc., is more profound than meditating on the central channel with letters, bindus, etc., which is a very laughable point. Therefore, here is my own view: As it is said in the Unwavering Supreme Yoga Tantra, "When the mind is bound, the wind is also bound." And the Great Brahmin also said, "If it is like space, the wind is completely bound. If one realizes equality, one is liberated." The meaning of these words, and the statement "focusing the mind on the tip of the channel," is actually the secret instruction of the venerable lamas, "uniting the three points of the nose tip." This is because it combines the special key points of binding and the contemplation of inner space. Therefore, as a result, the subtle wind gradually dissolves into the sphere of reality, and the subtle bliss consciousness obtained from its dissolution merges with the inner space, which immediately has the ability to gather the winds into the central channel, and immediately cuts off the connection with the ordinary sensory realm, and has the ability to clearly see the ten signs and so on. If one can abide in the form of emptiness, that is of course better. Even if it appears as another body, it actually appears on the ultimate central channel. Therefore, abiding in this is the best way to gather body and mind into the central channel. To accomplish these, external aids are needed, starting from the Buddha himself, and the blessings of the venerable lamas who have experience in this path must be received continuously. This is relying on external conditions to bring down the vajra, and by this cause, the deities residing in one's own mindstream will be pleased.

Therefore, through (the guru's blessing) the wisdom vajra will be descended. Starting from the initial gathering of the fingers, until the ultimate completion of samadhi, the blessing of descending the vajra will increase. Thus, descending the vajra, and the bliss and emptiness arising from the subtle winds dissolving into the dharmadhatu, and the complete purification of behavioral bonds, the combination of these three will cause the wisdom channels to expand greatly, purify the channels after the conventional, the knots of the channels become loose, and the elements of the grasping winds also dissolve from parts into the central channel. The wisdom of the completion stage is truly generated in the continuum. If one practices on this ordinary, near-death body with channel letters, seed syllables, bindus, etc., conceived by conceptual thoughts, it may be possible to touch the coarse material channels, but after a long time, it may even guide the wisdom of the completion stage. However, to consider this to be the ultimate true meaning and profound path is merely revealing the nature of extreme small-mindedness, filled with self-righteous arrogance. This is like some fools mistaking the jambu fruit for a jewel. Furthermore, the deity of one's own continuum is the Tathagatagarbha dharmadhatu, and since it is all-pervasive knowing all knowable things, how can it descend upon the body, speech, and mind of a single practitioner? Although the all-pervading deity is pervasive, the individual sentient beings that are pervaded are not pervasive, so it is not contradictory to descend upon one and not descend upon another. Moreover, when the body, speech, and mind of the practitioner please the guru, etc., the guru's blessing enters their body, speech, and mind, thereby slightly thinning the obscurations of their three doors. From that moment on, the light or appearance of the all-pervading deity slightly appears, which is the descending of the vajra of the ultimate deity. In reality, it is so, but for great yogis, in the appearance of the object of meditation of oneself or others, the deity of dharmata abides in the practitioner's own body, speech, and mind, just as through the path of cultivation, its power gradually increases, thereby manifesting the appearance of blessing. So, if one thinks that liberation can be achieved through the guru's blessing, thereby preventing the attainment of the supreme, unchanging wisdom
