The union of unchanging bliss is ultimate unconditioned because it transcends the extremes of negation and affirmation, of existent and nonexistent, of being and non-being. Establishing something as existent is not autonomous; even without a reason, it becomes existent. If you insist on pushing this, it is an extremely excessive action. If that is the case, what response do you have if your system of freedom from extremes is also pushed to be either existent or definitely nonexistent? Because there is no reason for it to be equal. Whatever samadhi is effortless and diligent in the stage of the path, although it is existent and conditioned, it is a means of reversing the grasping of things as existent, just as fire arising from wood burns wood. Therefore, this wisdom that is free from all extremes is to be realized by yogis, to be attained by those who cultivate the path, to be known by the Buddhas, and it is appropriate as the abiding reality of all dharmas. But your desired mere freedom from extremes is nothing and does not exist, because nothing to be realized, nothing to be attained, nothing to be known, and nothing to enter into reality has been established. Therefore, no distinctions of realization, attainment, knowledge, and entry are reasonable. If you think that it is good that there are no distinctions because there is nothing to realize or attain in ultimate reality, then if that is the nature of reality, there will be the fault that liberation is impossible because there is no consciousness of realization. If one is liberated even without the consciousness of realization, then everyone is already liberated, because it is impossible not to be liberated. If you think that liberation comes from merely knowing that there is nothing to be attained or realized, then it is impossible to know that there is nothing, because there is nothing to be known as nonexistent in something that is nothing, and there is no knower. Therefore, it is said that all phenomena are nonexistent in order to prevent attachment to existent phenomena, but such a thing is not seen by the noble ones, nor is it realized by wisdom, nor is it the nature of phenomena. Whatever is to be individually self-cognized by the noble ones in the realm of phenomena is coemergent wisdom. For example, good food distinguished by being free from poison can be eaten and tasted.

Just as no one can eat even a little non-toxic substitute if there is absolutely no food, so too, unchanging bliss and emptiness-form are not objects of sensory experience, nor are they seen by the eight consciousnesses, but rather are experienced and manifested by self-aware wisdom itself. As it says in the "Brief Exposition of the Desire to See": "The analysis of aggregates and emptiness is like water and trees, without essence. The emptiness that possesses all excellent aspects is unchanging in that way. What is seen here as the knowable that is without birth and without cessation? The empty entity is emptiness itself, not the analysis of the aggregates." It is said that emptiness, which is merely free from extremes, does not go beyond the conceptualization of meditation if it is made the object of mental grasping. Therefore, non-conceptual wisdom can never make such a non-entity its object. Such a thing will never become the emptiness to be meditated upon; otherwise, it will only be something to be understood by the wisdom of hearing and thinking. The tenth is that this yoga is called the order of utter purity. In the Glorious Stainless Light it is said: "The order of heroes and the blessing of self, those orders are not the path to liberation. Only the order of utter purity is taught by the Buddhas for the sake of liberation." As stated above, the wisdom of union is utterly pure because it is the undeluded reality, and the method of meditating on it is the order. Here, the order of heroes is: relying on the yoga of wrathful deities, residing in places such as charnel grounds, performing actions such as killing, expelling, dividing, stupefying, and stiffening, as well as the accomplishment of zombies, and the subjugation of bhutas, etc., is the order of focusing on mantras. And the combination of effortful practices such as substances and winds, the combination with action mudras, etc., suddenly stopping the movement of bindus, cultivating the bliss of the generation stage, and combining actions and accomplishments with what was previously said, is the order of focusing on the inner. The order of self-blessing is: relying on the yoga of peaceful deities, entering places such as stupas, performing the actions of pacifying, increasing, subjugating, and magnetizing, as well as accomplishments such as treasure vases and elixirs.
