Although this excellent Vajra Yoga was extensively and clearly taught without concealment, those places such as Shambhala, which are special Vajra places, and the abodes of heroes, dakinis, or powerful gods and nagas, are inhabited. Therefore, it has not become a place commonly used by people in this southern Jambudvipa. For the time being, it was abandoned and placed under the authority of the Abridged Tantras. The Guhyasamaja of four hundred chapters, the Shri Chakrasamvara of fifty-one chapters, the Hevajra Second Examination, and so on, are widespread in all places in the southern Jambudvipa, such as India and Tibet. In these Abridged Tantras, the meaning of the four empowerments, this Vajra Yoga, is sealed and concealed with Vajra words. In the Kalachakra, as it is clearly and extensively taught in the expanded root tantra, the "Supreme First Buddha" of twelve thousand verses, it is also clearly taught without concealment in the Abridged Tantra of Kalachakra. Therefore, it is different from other Abridged Tantras. The Mahamudra Yoga, the sixfold union, or the profound path of Vajra Yoga, is called Mahamudra, which is explained in various ways in the lineage texts. The customs of China and Tibet are different, and there are many views derived from one's own mind. There are also many statements that are considered to be proofs, but others are not relevant to the context. Here, from within the path of the Unsurpassed Vehicle, it is the Mahamudra of the Completion Stage. There are many views on this that cannot be fully explained. At this time, according to the view of the glorious Kalachakra and the three sections of the Heart Commentary, from the stage of non-conceptual and signless, the meditation on the empty form of Mahamudra itself is made the lifeblood of the path. If according to the other three mudras, the two mudras of action and wisdom, or according to the four, action, dharma, and samaya, whichever of these three mudra paths is appropriate for the occasion, at that time, the essence of the actual path is extracted, or the union is practiced for the purpose of guiding the beginning of the path. At this time, although it is necessary to understand the nature of Mahamudra in detail, it is assumed that it does not need to be explained to others and is left as it is. Furthermore, this is the general embodiment of all the Tathagatas, the Dharma-nature, the ultimate truth, the Buddha Vajra.

Seeing the great master's body as the form of Vajra, experiencing the speech Vajra, and entering oneself into the mind Vajra and wisdom Vajra, these four primordial Vajras are the means by which practitioners realize them. Therefore, it is called Vajra Yoga. It is also the path of direct realization, not just the path of faith. Other mantra paths connected with signs, although they also lead to wisdom, are generally not very profound means. Although they are established as very profound through the means of the lower vehicles, compared to this Vajra Yoga, which is the path of direct realization, they are not profound. This is because the arising of experience is very slow, and it relies on inner and outer elaborations. Even after prolonged practice, it cannot be united with the ultimate result, and one must enter this Vajra Yoga again. Other paths are not profound, but this is established as extremely profound, so it is called the Profound Path. To teach this profound Dharma, in India and other places, it is called the supreme guru's oral instructions, or oral teachings, or the giving of only this. It is also known as the guru's oral transmission. Although there is no term for "guidance," in this land of Tibet, it is called guidance. It is a term created by holy individuals and is very consistent with its meaning, as it is the means of leading to the path of liberation. It also has four meanings: What is guided? It guides the mindstream of the Vajra disciple who is ready. Where is it guided to? It guides to the state of the complete Buddha, who possesses the four bodies and five wisdoms. By whom is it guided? It is guided by the supreme guru. As the tantras say, although there are countless characteristics of a guru, the main cause for generating the wisdom of the completion stage is as stated in the King of Tantras: "The one in whose heart and mouth the face of the Buddha resides is the glorious guru." This is necessary and indispensable in every way. It is good if other qualities are present, but even if they are not, this is definitely necessary. Its meaning is that the face of the Buddha is the door through which the Buddha arises, the Vajra.
