It is not my own nature, nor is it the nature of anyone else. It is only appearance, without essence. For example, a magician casts a spell on a measuring tool, and the audience sees it transformed into a stupa. The nature of thought is like the measuring tool, and the appearance of thought is like the stupa. Although the measuring tool is made of wood, the illusory stupa is not made of wood. Even if the nature of thought is wisdom, thought itself has no essence, so there is no wisdom in thought. If thought were wisdom, then it would become a thought of wisdom. For example, if the measuring tool is made of wood, then the illusory stupa should also be made of wood, so the illusory stupa is actually a wooden stupa. Therefore, when the appearance of thought has not disappeared, experiencing emptiness and clarity in a state of unattached dissolution is a sign that the thought is only an appearance of illusion and has never arisen from the beginning. When looking at its essence, it appears as if there is nothing there, which is the nature of being without continuity, without connection, unrelated, momentary destruction, and non-abiding. If one cultivates with the key points of true view, one may be able to enter into subtle impermanence and selflessness, but it will not become the cause of the wisdom Dharmakaya. If one fails to align with the key points of true view, then it is like a state of dissolution and nothingness, which will lead to undifferentiated abandonment. If one says that one merely applies the name of Dharmakaya to emptiness and speaks without distinguishing between appearance and nature, although one may do so, it has gone beyond the scope of scriptures and the norms of reason. Furthermore, when observing awareness, thought seems to be non-thought awareness, like a lion looking at the sky through the eyes of a thicket. If one observes a strong thought, it seems that the emptiness and clarity of mind appear as thought, like a bird's nest shaking after a bird flies away, which is the defilement of the past accumulating on the emptiness and clarity of mind after the strong momentum has stopped. Because time is short, one mistakenly thinks that the strong momentum is the same as emptiness and clarity, confusing the former and the latter as one. Therefore, although there may be a certain way of experiencing appearances, if the way of recognition is wrong, it is easy to go astray, so it is also very important that the recognition is not mistaken.

If traced to the source, the clarity of awareness that is not transformed by external circumstances, this uninterrupted clarity of awareness, is not true wisdom, but the Alaya consciousness. Because it has similarities with wisdom, it is better to introduce wisdom in a metaphorical way rather than directly explaining true wisdom, as there will be some benefits. This Alaya consciousness is also the obscuration of the wisdom Tathagatagarbha. In reality, just as a person who appears in a dream cannot see real objects, but can see non-existent dreams; and just as those who are deluded by illusions cannot see real aggregates, but can see non-existent illusions. However, temporarily establishing it as it appears in the minds of ordinary people and noble learners, for this or that sentient being, the Tathagatagarbha is the self-aware wisdom of true meaning. Sentient beings are covered by their own Alaya consciousness. At this time, just as the sheath of a sword and the shape of the sword are similar, the Alaya consciousness is also similar in shape to the essence. Although the sword is not directly shown, the shape of the sword can be inferred by seeing the sheath. Similarly, the Tathagatagarbha can be inferred from the clarity of awareness of the Alaya consciousness alone. Here, there is a detailed explanation in the common recognition, please refer to it there. Although the Alaya consciousness is the obscuration of the essence, if the key to the Alaya consciousness is grasped, it will become the path to realizing the essence, just as grasping the clothes of a person wearing clothes can also grasp that person. In this stage of the three solitudes, if one is a long-term practitioner, then the way to recognize the Tathagatagarbha is like this. If the Tathagatagarbha is recognized in the three solitudes, it must be based on the Alaya consciousness. For those who have generated real experience, it is not necessary to rely on the Alaya consciousness to infer, but to recognize the actual manifestation of the Tathagatagarbha, that is, the manifestation of the ten signs of luminosity. This is most important when guiding actual practice. Please refer to the uncommon recognition for the method of recognition. These conclusions and recognitions mentioned in this stage of the three solitudes are very important for the guide and the explainer to roughly generate their own experience and to remember the classifications in detail. When explaining the recognition, and when conclusions are needed when wise people gather, it is necessary to
