It seems to be some kind of difference. Therefore, here, the five common preliminary goals are arranged as chapters in the same way. Thus, all that has been said up to that point should be understood as applicable not only to this Dharma, but to all instructions on refuge, bodhicitta, accumulation, purification, and devotion. In general, here, a ripening empowerment is necessary, especially based on the complete mandala of body, speech, and mind of the glorious Kalachakra, or the extensive mind mandala, to receive about seven child-entry empowerments, or to have already received the complete empowerment, and then to receive the instructions starting from refuge is reasonable. If that is not possible, then in any Anuttarayoga Tantra mandala, one should receive the complete empowerment or vase empowerment according to the tradition of the secret tantras. Specifically, there is no doubt about the three: refuge, bodhicitta, and mandala. For Vajrasattva and Guru Yoga, if one has never received empowerment before, will it become a secret proclamation? This is a special case, so it will not become a secret proclamation, because there is a need to generate special faith from that basis. Therefore, if the empowerment has not been completed in advance, it does not matter where these common preliminary occasions are conferred. Although it is no different from simply not producing a secret proclamation, in general, before the generation stage, child entry or a vase empowerment of an ordinary mandala ritual is definitely very important. Thus, after the common empowerment. Continuing to cultivate the rest of the instructions, the so-called uncommon preliminaries, uncommon refers to being uncommon with many instructions other than the six applications, which is the meaning of most. It is not asserting that there is absolutely nothing else. Then, for most mantra instructions, there are also deity meditation, non-conceptualization, and emptiness meditation. Even considering that the proportion is large, can it not be called uncommon? Although it is true, for instructions that have deity meditation and non-conceptualization, most of them take these as the main practice, not as preliminaries. Therefore, here, with the deity and non-conceptualization as preliminaries, because it is uncommon with other Dharmas, it is an uncommon preliminary. After that, or after having already explained the Kalachakra co-emergent practice, how...

To explain the appropriate understanding slightly, generally, when practicing co-emergent wisdom, one should first perform refuge, bodhicitta, and the four immeasurables, and then enter into the practice of emptiness and so on. Here, a single session, whether it is the extensive or concise version of the five common preliminaries, as long as it is a continuation of what has been practiced systematically, it is permissible to meditate on emptiness without interruption. The previous refuge and bodhicitta are sufficient, and there is no need to repeat them here. Then, contemplate all phenomena of self and other appearances as appearing but empty of inherent existence, like illusions. After that, all appearances dissolve into the sky like rainbows, and the mind rests slightly in non-thought. Then, recite the emptiness mantra, and generate the pride of "I am the Sugata-garbha, the wisdom that understands the emptiness of both grasper and grasped." During the main practice, it is good if one can visualize the mandala of the four elements and Mount Meru below the lotus seat. Because it is the mandala of the support, it can replace the palace in this practice of co-emergent wisdom. In short, even if one does not visualize, the ritual will not be lacking in this practice of co-emergent wisdom. There are two meanings of co-emergent: one is that the original, fundamental, or very first itself is called co-emergent. Like the seed, the root source of a deity with many hands and faces, with branches and leaves flourishing, it is established as the two-handed deity, because in the world, what is taken as the root is mostly small or few, and what is extended and developed is mostly many or large. Therefore, in this case, the term co-emergent also refers to a single-faced, two-handed deity. Especially among secret mantra practitioners, it is widely known that because one alone cannot be called "co-", a single hero or heroine is usually not called co-emergent, but a deity with two hands in union is known as co-emergent. Although in terms of meaning, the number of faces and hands, the difference between cause and effect, and the distinction between root and branch are not definite, from the point of view of symbolism, it is mostly the case that the Dharmakaya, which represents the cause or root, is represented by the two-handed deity, and the Rupakaya, which represents the fruit or branch, is represented by the deity with many faces and hands. Therefore, the deity of the cause or root is called co-emergent. That is
