It is like having no limits. If he is pleased, it is the same as pleasing the Buddha. If one accumulates sin towards him, it is the same as accumulating sin towards the Buddha. Because by offering to him, one is offering to all the Buddhas. All the obscurations of the students will be exhausted. As it says in the "Oral Instructions of Manjushri": "The future Vajra Holder, whatever sentient being disrespects him, that one disrespects me, and I will abandon all of them at all times." And it says: "For some who are meaningful, I reside in his body, and receive offerings from other practitioners. Pleasing him, he purifies his own karmic obscurations." However, the way to cultivate devotion is that the root guru himself, whoever he may be in terms of things, should not be regarded as an ordinary person or a noble disciple, or an ordinary spiritual friend, etc. One must contemplate him as the actual Buddha. Although there is no difference between one Buddha and many Buddhas, there is a difference in the way devotion enters, so the Buddha is not like one or two either. He is the essence of all the Buddhas of the ten directions and three times. Therefore, all the Dharma and Sangha are also included. Therefore, my guru is truly the embodiment of all the Jewels. The guru is the Three Jewels, and the Three Jewels are the guru. According to our own appearances, the kindness of the guru is greater than even the Three Jewels. The Buddhas of the ten directions are generally good, but they do not show their faces to me, nor do they speak. Even if Buddhas, Yidams, Bodhisattvas, Dakinis, Dharma Protectors, etc., actually come, there is nothing more or better that they can do or show than what the glorious guru does for me. At this time when there is no opportunity to meet them directly, the guru does all the things that they would do, so his kindness is very great. Knowing that the guru is the embodiment of all the Buddhas, and having faith in his infinite qualities, and knowing that his kindness is extremely great, the combination of these two is understanding the essence of devotion, which is a good way to practice. Even if one has made such a good understanding, sometimes one forgets the guru and does not remember him. Even when one remembers him, one does not have the strong feeling that can make the hairs stand on end. This is just remaining at the level of understanding. This is not the way to immediately generate experience and realization. There must be a strong feeling that can prevent other ordinary appearances, that can transform the mind.

Then, blessings quickly descend, afflictions suddenly cease, and wisdom arises in an instant. By repeatedly remembering in this way, one will constantly meditate. From habituation, all faults are abandoned, and all qualities arise. If one has not actually seen the Buddha, even if there is bias and arrogance, and a pleasing longing, because it is a contaminated worldly conceptualization, one cannot be liberated. Affectionate faith in ordinary spiritual friends and ordinary accomplished ones is also a worldly conceptualization. Foolish people say that the lama is the Buddha, but does that mean calling a good man, or a bad woman, or someone who helps with food and wealth, the Buddha? Merely the words "Buddha, Buddha" without any focused practice. That kind of thing is not helpful for liberating the mindstream, so one must understand the qualities of the Buddha and develop respectful faith in the lama who possesses those qualities. Thus, recognizing the lama as the Buddha is the supreme object of focus that transcends the world. Because it is focusing on the Buddha, it is the essence of all path practices. In general, the blessings of all Buddhas descend. In particular, the blessings of the deities requested from our own lama quickly descend upon oneself. If one does not remember kindness, in general, one is ungrateful for what has been done, and shameless,

In the Vajra Tantra, it says: "The co-emergent wisdom that cannot be spoken by others, cannot be found anywhere; it is known through relying on the skillful means of the lama and one's own merit." Also, in the Mayajala Tantra, it says: "How should one view the acharya? The lama is equal to all Buddhas. He is always Vajradhara, the Tathagata Ratnaketu. He is the ocean of wisdom, bestowing the wish-fulfilling jewel. One should uphold the virtues of the acharya, and never his faults. By upholding virtues, siddhis are attained; by faults, siddhis are lost. One should not even step on his shadow, for it is said to be like destroying a stupa." Also, in the Vajra Tent, it says: "The lama who becomes the teacher is revered by all Buddhas. He is the father and mother of us all. This should be contemplated in the mind." Also, it is said: "How is Vajrasattva? In that way, the teacher holds form, aiming to guide sentient beings, abiding in the form of an ordinary person." Thus it is said. In the Glorious Stainless Light, it says: "The Vajra Acharya who teaches the Kalachakra Tantra is like Bhagavan Manjushri, like the first Kalachakra Buddha. He should be regarded by those who seek liberation." Also, in the Five Stages by Acharya Nagarjuna, it says: "If a part falls from the peak of the mountain king, even if it does not wish to fall, it will fall. If one receives a prophecy of benefit through the kindness of the lama, even if one does not wish to be liberated, one will be liberated." Also, "The lama steals away sins, the lama removes fear, the lama liberates from the depths of the ocean of suffering." Thus it is said. The Glorious Saraha also said: "Whatever the lama speaks enters the heart, it is like seeing a treasure in the palm of one's hand." Also, in Indrabhuti's Yeshe Drubpa, it says: "Without a boat, one cannot cross to the other shore. Even if one possesses all virtues, without a lama, one cannot reach the end of existence." Also, the powerful and mighty Viravava said: "The lama and Vajrasattva should not be regarded as different. The lama is the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha. Siddhi"
