Transforms. By averting, it becomes higher. With great bliss, one possesses happiness. With great suffering, suffering transforms. Thus it is said. Whoever does not desire their own happiness, and does not delight in being completely embraced, that one is the best of the stars, and will become one of the Four Great Kings. Parents, the head of the paternal lineage, are also honored, generous, and patient. Whoever delights in fighting, that one will be born in the Thirty-Three Heavens. Not delighting in debate and fighting, not taking pleasure in it in one's mind, whoever diligently strives for virtue alone, those ones will go to the place free from strife. One who is learned, upholds the Dharma, possesses wisdom, desires liberation, and delights in qualities, those ones will draw near to the Joyful Heaven. Whoever enters into taming oneself, and also takes vows of discipline, is one who possesses great joy, and will go to the Heaven of Emanating Delight, where they are not eaten by demons. Whichever sentient being is neither inferior nor superior, is generous, tamed, and truly disciplined, becomes one who possesses excellent qualities, and will certainly go to the Heaven of Controlling Others' Emanations. Through discipline, one obtains the heavens; through meditation, one becomes distinguished; through truly and completely knowing, one will ultimately go to the place without rebirth. Separated from attachment and obtaining merit, likewise, one should also abandon sin. Accomplishing the benefit of oneself and others, and abandoning harm to others, is merit; the opposite is sin. The Great Self said thus. Thus and so forth, many appear, and taking these as examples, from the sutras and treatises, one should understand the limitless doors of accumulation, and the immeasurable benefits that are spoken of. Therefore, one should not be content with just one root of virtue, but should accumulate as much as possible from many different kinds of doors of accumulation. After having struck the key point of Guru Yoga, if one wishes to explain the subsequent Dharma session a little, one should do it like this: Among them, the first point is to explain the characteristics of the teacher and the student, as it is said: A teacher without compassion, who is wrathful and cruel, arrogant and unrestrained in desire, and self-praising, should not be taken as a student by one who is intelligent. Stable, tamed, and possessing intelligence, patient, upright, and without deceit, knowing the union of mantra and tantra, possessing loving-kindness and being skilled in treatises, completely knowing these ten, mandala.
