Just as a waterfall cascades vertically down the outer sides of a mountain. Generally, in the extensive rituals of the mandala, many seed syllables and mantras appear. However, one practices only once a day, and during the mandala instruction, one proceeds in a way that accumulates hundreds and thousands of mandalas. Since it is impossible to accomplish that way, nowadays everyone is accustomed to offering the mandala with just words. There are various forms such as thirty-seven heaps, twenty-five heaps, twenty-three heaps, and seven heaps. Apart from the number of heaps and the corresponding amount of verbal expression, it seems that the ritual is abbreviated because it arises instantaneously. Except for the fact that the larger number of heaps allows for clearer visualization, the size of the object of visualization is also similar. Even so, the glorious Guhyasamaja Tantra says, "This realm with seven precious things, filled completely by the wise, for the sake of giving to desire accomplishments, daily the intelligent should offer." According to the practice of this teaching, the seven precious possessions of a king, and the treasures of the seven precious things such as the scepter and sword, these eight arise from seed syllables and are offered with mantras, which is also explained in the extensive rituals of the mandala. In any case, if one likes elaboration here, then at the beginning and end of each session, it is good to offer a slightly more extensive mandala like the thirty-seven heap one. But it is not absolutely necessary. Usually, one practices on top of the well-known seven-heap mandala, adding the nine-heap mandala of Rahu, time, and fire. If one cannot manage the extensive mandala ritual, if the material of the mandala is made of precious jewels, then it does not matter if it is small. If the material is inferior, such as clay or wood, then it needs to be larger, according to oral tradition. This also depends on one's wealth. If one really has nothing, it is said that even tiles can be used. If one is wealthy with grains for the heaps, one should not reuse them, but each time pile the grains aside and offer only new grains. The mandala offering grains accumulated in this way should be offered to the lama and the Three Jewels, and one should not enjoy them oneself. If one has no wealth, one has no choice but to reuse the same grain to offer. One can also apply fragrant water.

What can be followed and obtained? In the past, in Tibet, there was talk of the Kadampa's "dry mandala" and the Tantric's "wet mandala." Although some considered this to be a difference between Sutra and Tantra, there is no difference between Sutra and Tantra in terms of dryness and wetness. It seems that the practice varies according to each lineage. Here: Cleaning the mandala well symbolizes that the nature of the mind is without defilement; anointing it with fragrant water symbolizes that the mind is pervaded by the moisture of bodhicitta. The base of the mandala is a golden ground, and one should also meditate on it as an ocean of fragrance. Om, Vajra Line)," one should meditate that the edge of the golden ground is surrounded by a vajra mountain or an iron fence. After that, the "Hum (藏文:ཧཱུཾ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Hum)" in the center is to dispel the obstacles of the mandala, but it is not to generate Mount Meru from the seed syllable "Hum (藏文:ཧཱུཾ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Hum)." Here it is abbreviated, saying that it arises in an instant, so there is no need for a seed syllable. If you want to make the seed syllable yourself, then Mount Meru is generated from the syllable "Hang (藏文:ཧཾ,梵文天城体:हं,梵文罗马拟音:haṃ,汉语字面意思:Hang)," not "Hum (藏文:ཧཱུཾ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Hum)." At that time, from the syllable "Ya (藏文:ཡ,梵文天城体:य,梵文罗马拟音:ya,汉语字面意思:Ya)" one makes the seed syllables for all the clumps such as Body Superior Continent. It is not like that here. When arranging the clumps of Mount Meru in the center, if one meditates on the appendages of Mount Meru according to the Abhidharma and other systems, with clear visualization and attention to detail, one can meditate on the golden mountains and pleasure lakes, etc.; or according to the Kalachakra system, one can also meditate on the six continents, six oceans, and six mountains. If you do not know these, are not clear about them, or do not like to meditate on the details, then it is enough to meditate only on Mount Meru. If one divides it into nine continents, when reciting "East Videha," although only one continent is placed in the east, one must meditate on all three continents of the east through visualization. The other three directions are similar. Inside these continents, place small clumps one by one. In visualization, do not do it inside the continents. Thinking of arranging the sun, moon, planets, and four seasons in the sky above the continents, the south is the sun and the north is the moon, which is consistent with the general saying. In the east is Rahu, the color is dark blue; in the west is the fire of time, the color is yellow. Both of these are clear and shining, radiating light, and the shape is round. At the same time as completing these four arrangements, one should also meditate on all the constellations. The direction of the circle can be clockwise, but mainly it is arranged in the order of east, south, north, and west, according to the division of wind, fire, water, and earth. In the center is the perfect wealth of gods and humans.
