Homage. Practice: If you like embellishment, bestow blessings and also grant empowerment. The way to do this should be understood as described in the writings of previous lamas. After that, enter the boundary of dark retreat. Watch the instructions repeatedly, and correct what has not been mastered. Removing obstacles and introductions, etc., should be done at the appropriate times. Also, as it is said in the Hevajra Tantra, "The yogi who meditates on the six limbs." And so on, many things are said. In short, the six limbs are: the limb of gathering in, contemplation, breath control, retention, recollection, and the limb of samadhi. If these are placed under the power of the four vajra yogas, gathering in and contemplation are the yoga of the vajra of body, breath control is the yoga of the vajra of speech, recollection is the yoga of the vajra of mind, and samadhi is the yoga of the vajra of wisdom. According to the four limbs of approach and accomplishment, [gathering in and contemplation are ultimately the cause for the accomplishment of the wisdom body of union, emptiness and form manifest, and the yoga in which appearance and mind appear as non-dual. Therefore, these two are the near path for accomplishing the supreme body of union, so they are the near accomplishment, breath gathering in is the approach, breath control is the near accomplishment, recollection is the accomplishment, and samadhi is the great accomplishment. According to the three virtues, gathering in and contemplation are the virtue of the beginning, breath control is the virtue of the middle, and recollection and samadhi are the virtue of the end. According to the two, cause and effect, gathering in, breath control, and recollection are the limbs of the cause, and contemplation, retention, and samadhi are the limbs of the effect. Everything is one in the yoga of the great seal, and the actual limbs are that the earlier ones are perfected and the later ones are born in the lineage, so they initially abide in a gradual stage of arising. Learning the causes and conditions for these to arise, the six limbs are in accordance with this: first, inquire and study them separately, and then practice them completely on one cushion. Therefore, in this case, in the main part, there are three: the initial virtuous instruction, the intermediate virtuous instruction, and the final virtuous instruction. The first is: the instruction on gathering in separately and the instruction on contemplation. The first is that many previous masters have said in the Whispered Lineage of the Wheel of Time, "All should be known as six." Taking this as the meaning, for all the limbs

It will be explained in six sections. A section is an explanation, so it can be arranged in any way. But here, it does not contradict the words of the previous masters, and it is best to arrange it in an easy-to-understand way: For the guidance of individually gathering, there are two things: the key points of the practice's object and keeping the meaning of the practice in mind. The first has the actual gathering itself and the ritual of increasing benefit. Looking with the eyes of the wrathful deity with wheels. Therefore, the so-called posture of the Crown Wheel-Turning King is that one must look at the sky above sixteen fingers measured from the space between the eyebrows. Moreover, in the "Brief Explanation of Empowerment," it says, "With covered and uncovered eyes." Therefore, the eyes are not opened too wide, nor are they closed too tightly, but the eyeballs are turned upwards in a natural state. Except for those with special objects, in all cases of the generation stage and the completion stage, it must be determined that this is the only posture and gaze. Having determined the posture in this way, abiding by abandoning other activities, the channels remain unmoving, which is the body not moving. Doing it like the three solitary places of the key points of speech is speech not moving. The key point of the mind is also roughly similar to the three solitary places, except that the mind is focused on the darkness of the sky in the direction the eyes are looking. As it says in "Stainless Light," "First, when realizing emptiness, do not think about anything in the darkness." This is the mind not moving. Thus, the accomplished Shāwaripa said, "Immovability is possessing three, in the central channel, ten winds are absorbed, inner and outer discriminations cease, ten signs arise, it is a limb of individually cutting off." One must fully accomplish these. The glorious Sarahas also said, "What is the use of saying much? This is enough to measure the Dharma. When the eyes are half-open and looking upwards, one will understand through the stability of the view." And, "In the sky, mind, wind, and eyes, if one can definitely combine them at the same time, one will surely generate the qualities of the precious Buddha. All these were spoken by the Tathagata." Moreover, the posture of looking upwards must be determined, and in the "Great Commentary," it says, "Looking upwards without blinking the eyes is a sign of excellence." Thus it is said. Therefore, with the key points and restraints of the body complete, mixing the three, mind, eyes, and wind, inseparably with the sky above the crown, not thinking of anything.
