It is said in the Nāropā Tantra. These can be understood in detail elsewhere. Here, for those who are beginners, what is related only to gathering is: In the Whispered Tradition of the Wheel of Time, it says: The accumulation of individual gathering, should be done with intense binding. And what is meant by binding? In the Clear Essence of the Three Yogas, it says: At night in a house without gaps, the practitioner who is extremely absorbed, should do five actions and two bindings, which should be learned from the guru's mouth. As such, this is also an accumulation ritual mentioned in the tantra, belonging to the practice of forceful means. The five actions are the winds of the five senses, and the two bindings are the binding of the life force and the downward-clearing wind. The practice of this is the same regardless of whether it is during daytime or nighttime yoga. The place where the two eyes look is not a vast place, but intensely focused on one tiny spot. The tongue is turned back into the throat. The lips, nose, and ears are constricted. The face is made into an angry expression. The body is twisted like a fish, and the toes are bent. The fists and lotus posture are held tightly. The arms are stretched out intensely. This binds the winds of the five senses. The stomach is alternately tightened and expanded outwards. And the alternation should not be too fast, but should be done about every hour. This binds the life force and the downward-clearing wind. Meditate in this way for about one-third or one-quarter of a session. Meditate on the remainder of the session as usual. In this way, even those who have not developed realization despite meditating on gathering for a long time will develop it. Those who initially developed some realization but have lost it can recover it. Even if those who initially developed some realization have not lost it, but have not increased beyond the initial realization, meditating on this will lead to further progress. Therefore, it is called the Accumulation Ritual. Meditating on this from the very beginning is difficult and fraught with obstacles, and the subsequent increase is small. If the above three situations occur, then no other meditation is necessary. Seventh, the Visualization Sequence. Also, in the instructions of Tsami and Galo, there are instructions for looking at a window and looking at a container filled with water, which are somewhat related to the Accumulation Ritual of Empty Forms, but their importance seems minor. Second, when sleeping at night, before mastering the physical posture of gathering, it is good to remain in a natural state. After mastering the physical posture and gaze,

Or, lying down in the lion's posture with the right side down, closing the eyes and turning the eyeballs upwards, guiding the mind through the way of looking at the essential point, and looking at the sky, one should fall asleep in this state. Due to the strength of daytime meditation and the connection before falling asleep, one will attain the clear light of sleep in seven days, or half a month, or a month, etc. If one does not attain it, light radiates from the heart, which is clear in one's own Kalachakra, and all the outer and inner contents dissolve into light and merge into oneself. One's own self also dissolves into light. The edge of the mass of light gradually disappears. In the heart, one focuses for a long time on a state the size of a sesame seed or the tip of a fine hair. That also disappears, and the mind is focused on the empty sky. Meditating in this way about seven times, and then acting as before, one will quickly attain it. There are many degrees of attaining the clear light of sleep, but for the time being, in deep sleep, the awareness of clear emptiness is free from the stains of conceptual thought, and if various signs appear that allow one to recognize one's own nature, then it is included in the category of having attained the clear light of sleep. The eighth point of mind training is finished. Second, to impress the meaning of meditation on the mind: For those who are very foolish and do not understand even when explained, and for those who are extremely intelligent and do not need much explanation, and during times of quick guidance, it is permissible not to explain. In other situations, explaining according to circumstances is the custom of the lamas, and it is very important, and the following content is similar to this. In short, it is: the meaning of the name of individual withdrawal, the time of meditation, the branches of the method of meditation, the signs of meditation, the distinction between what is to be purified and what purifies, and the fruit obtained by meditation, these six points. The first point is: In Sanskrit (Sanskrit Devanagari: संस्कृत, Sanskrit Romanization: saṃskṛta, Chinese literal meaning: well combined), प्रति (Tibetan: པྲ་ཏི་, Sanskrit Devanagari: प्रति, Sanskrit Romanization: prati, Chinese literal meaning: each), आहार (Tibetan: ཨཱ་ཧ་ར་, Sanskrit Devanagari: आहार, Sanskrit Romanization: āhāra, Chinese literal meaning: collecting according to circumstances), has meanings such as abandoning, eating, cutting off, and accepting, but here it means collecting, so combined it is Sanskrit Romanization: pratyāhāra, Chinese literal meaning: individual withdrawal). Cutting off the connection between the five ordinary senses and the five objects, and collecting the consciousness that scatters to external objects, and enjoying the five objects of the clear light nature with the other five senses of the wisdom nature, is the meaning of enjoying and accepting. In short, it is the ordinary
