. The reality is that the vase and other six elements of earth, water, fire, wind, space, and consciousness manifest. The meaning of this meditation is just one session, etc. With this, the instructions for holding are complete. For the time being, the instructions for recollection will not be given, and that will be enough. The subsequent instructions should be taken at this time. Third, the final virtuous instructions are twofold: recollection and samadhi. First, the key points of the practice and the meaning of meditation should be kept in mind. First, the actual recollection is that without relying on physical movements and the efforts of the winds, etc., the knots of the six chakras are loosened, one has mastery over the blissful winds, and it is a time to freely enjoy the blazing appearance of tummo. Therefore, it is sufficient to practice only what is said in the actual teachings of the tantras. Here, the instructions are given in accordance with the appropriate manner, with the reality and the branches. The first is that one should have various experiences arising from finger counting meditation, be fully proficient in even the ordinary vase breathing that sustains life, and meditate in the manner of one who has experience in mixing life and downward winds. There are preliminary wind exercises and the method of how to meditate in the main practice. First, there are three: learning the posture to stabilize the mixing of life and downward winds, the wind exercises of holding and reversing, etc., which are branches of that, and learning the physical movements of binding the body. First, the posture of the wrathful lion is: cross the legs at the perineum, straighten the knees and squat, straighten the spine, and place the hands in reverse. Alternatively, kneel and straighten the waist, and place the hands between the thick and thin parts of the thighs, as others say. In any case, lower the neck and turn the gaze to the crown chakra. This strikes the key point of the front channel. Also, from the same source: place the knees and elbows on the ground, or sit in the lotus position, straighten the waist, and place the hands on the ground above the hips. Lean the body back and bend the throat. This strikes the key point of the back channel. The posture of the peaceful and wrathful elephant king is: kneel and support the cheeks with fists, prop the elbows on a stool, or stretch out the legs. This is to go from the taming of the equalizing wind to the cleansing of the downward wind. Also, sitting in the lotus position and leaning the body back,

Or, support from the back of the waist with the vajra fist, or lie supine, slightly extend both legs, perform the lotus union, and cross the hands in fists at the heart. This is to draw the life force downwards. The way to look at these two postures is the swirling of nectar. In the sitting posture of the peaceful ascetic, it is similar to the sitting posture of a lion, except that the vajra fists are crossed at the heart, or squat, raise the buttocks, grasp the ears with crossed fists, or plant the knees and elbows on the ground. It is similar to the sitting posture of a lion, except that the hands are crossed in vajra fists at the heart. In the circular footwork, it is also said to place the vajra fists at the base of the thighs. These are all to press the key points of the upper and lower channels separately, and the way to look at these two postures is to look downwards. Thus, those sitting postures can also be combined in pairs, but it is better to do all six. Two styles are written for all six postures. The former ones are according to the words of Chos-rgyal Phyogs-las-rnam-rgyal, etc., while the ones after "or" are recorded according to some practices seen in the scattered instructions of the great accomplished woman Yumo, and Latöpa Wangyal, the heart-son of Künpang Chenpo. These latter ones seem a bit too cumbersome, and any one of the six sets is sufficient, so there is no need to combine both sets into one. There are also those who divide this into three sessions, but in the quick guide, it is done in one session, which is the thirty-fifth contemplation cycle. Then comes the oral guidance: draw in the lower breath and expel the upper breath with a long Hūṃ (藏文,梵文天城体:हूँ,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽). Visualize the five chakras in sequence with Jaḥ Hūṃ Baṃ Hoḥ Hi, and press down hard on the upper breath. Visualize the five chakras in sequence with the abdominal sounds Lī Ū Ṝ Ī Ā, and forcefully draw the secret breath upwards. Immediately after that, hold the union at the navel and exhale. Tighten the lower gate and focus the awareness on the forehead. One must strive to apply these breath exercises on top of each of the previous six body postures. Apart from the differences in body posture, the key points of the breath are mostly similar to the content of the vows of the holder. This is the thirty-sixth contemplation cycle. Also, meditation cushions and knee embraces are placed, and six hearths are put in.
