Remembrance. If this is transferred to others, one can know the minds of others. Such as "turning one's back to the sun," and "where is the sound, in the direction of the heart," etc., should be combined with the scriptural authority of the tantras. Thus, shadows, tree shadows, sounds, and the channels of the heart of oneself and others, these five are subtle objects of focus, therefore they are not counted in the usual range of objects of focus. To fix the meaning of meditation in the mind, this includes one session of meditation, etc. With this, the instruction on calm abiding and insight meditation is complete. For the time being, the life force exertion and below will not be bestowed, and if one is content with just that much, then the subsequent instructions should be taken at this time. Second, in the intermediate virtuous instruction, there are two distinctions: causing the karma winds to cease in the Avadhuti (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思) channel, and dissolving into the indestructible bindu in the central channel, namely, the instruction on life force exertion and the instruction on holding. First, in teaching the instruction on life force exertion, there are the key points of the object of practice and fixing the meaning of meditation in the mind. First, the limbs of life force exertion possess the actual characteristics, and what is to be accomplished from the beginning in accordance with life force exertion, these are divided into two. For the time being, it will be explained with the latter as the main focus. Among these, there are the instructions transmitted from Paṇchen Śākyaśrī, and the instructions of Paṇchen Zla-ba mgon-po, known as the 'Bro tradition, and the instructions of Jo-bo Sa-manta-śrī, known as the Rwa tradition. These three should be taken as the foundation, and other scattered traditions are mostly the same as these, and those that have slight differences will also be explained. Among these, the instructions of Paṇchen Śākyaśrī include: the preliminary Vajra recitation purifies the channels, after becoming proficient, the practice of filling and releasing the gentle wind causes the life force to enter the central channel, after entering, the practice of the vase-like coarse wind binds the life force in the central channel, if it does not enter and bind, then the forceful practice blocks the paths of the sun and moon channels, and if the lower gate is forcibly closed by blocking, then the upper practice liberates it, the practice of moving the tongue three times tastes the essence of the inner nectar, and the practice of igniting the inner heat mixes the life force up and down and accomplishes immortality, this is called the six Vajra words. Among these, the first four are the instructions on life force exertion, and the latter two are the instructions on holding. At this time, one should act as follows:

O! The actual instructions for bestowing life, along with ransom and obstacle removal. Firstly, as the letters of the physical exercise wheel are separately arranged, practice these along with the preliminary wheel. If it is according to the tradition of Panchen Shakya Shri, it is the first three breath exercises mentioned earlier. Among them, the first is to purify the channels with Vajra recitation. The difference in gaze is called "the gaze that destroys obstacles or swirls nectar," looking slightly upwards from directly in front, staring intently at the space between the eyebrows. Except for special cases, all gazes during life-force extraction and retention are determined to be this one, because the tantra says, "With the gaze that destroys obstacles, one can also closely accomplish the six branches of the nectar path." Other body postures are the same as before. Expel impure air three times. First, without distraction, focus on the three aspects of breath: exhaling, inhaling, and abiding. This is the first object of focus for Vajra recitation. Then, clearly visualize the three channels. Inside the body, the central channel (Uma) is blue, about the size of a medium arrow shaft, with its upper end inserted into the crown of the head and its lower end located at the navel. To its right is the red Roma channel, and to its left is the white Kyangma channel. These two are twice as thin as the central channel. Visualize these three channels standing side by side. When exhaling, starting from the navel, the breath goes out through the two channels, the central channel and the Roma channel, from all parts of the two channels between the throat and the crown of the head, visualizing it going out through the nostrils. When inhaling, it enters through the nostrils, passing unimpeded through all parts between the central channel and the Kyangma channel from the crown of the head to the throat, the paths of the two channels reaching the navel. When abiding, visualize it filling only the central channel. Initially, make the three aspects of exhaling, inhaling, and abiding equal, gradually making the abiding longer and longer. If the breath is flowing through the right nostril, visualize the breath as red light, and if it is flowing through the left nostril, visualize it as white light. If they are flowing together, visualize it as green or blue light, practicing the three aspects of going out, coming in, and abiding. This is the second of Vajra recitation. Although some practices involve blocking the left nostril when exhaling and blocking the right nostril when inhaling, this is not necessary during Vajra recitation.
