For the sake of increasing the merits of the Three Jewels such as Namas, there is no ability to actually transfer to a higher path from self-initiation or empowerment by a Vajra Master. Path empowerment refers to the actual result of the empowerment itself, which has the ability to transfer to a higher stage summarized by the bhumi and path. Anyone who receives the empowerment will gain the stability of the generation stage if they have not already obtained it; they will obtain the knowledge holder if they have not already obtained it; they will accomplish the karma if they have not already accomplished it; the six-branch yoga also applies in the same way. The proximate cause, lower level, and empowerment on the noble bhumis are all included in this category. The empowerment of the result is the empowerment that transforms into the Sambhogakaya form just before attaining Buddhahood. Furthermore, there are cases where meditating on the meaning of empowerment is also called empowerment. As it is said, "Empowerment is like the stainless rabbit," therefore, the wisdom of the stable generation stage is called the entry for children, and the wisdom of the completion stage is also given the name of higher empowerment. However, empowerments related to rituals are those mentioned above. From the Garland of Light Rays, the classification and summary of empowerment are also made in this way: The seven empowerments are shown through the mandala, pigments, and the path generation stage, and are summarized into one. The vase empowerment relies on the body mandala, the secret empowerment relies on bhaga (bhaga, 吉祥), the wisdom empowerment relies on the conventional bodhicitta, so although it is one in the subtle points of the pith instructions, it is divided into three by the empowerment of each mandala. The fourth mandala is the Great Seal and the six unions of pith instructions. The empowerment of the Vajra Master relies on the mandala of the tantra, which is the explanation of the pith instruction Vajra words and the collection of activities. The twelve empowerments rely on the six mandalas and are summarized into six types. Alternatively, the seven empowerments are summarized into one as before, the upper three are the three worldly ones, the bliss empowerment that is in harmony with the object, consort, and pith instructions, the fourth is the Great Seal empowerment that shows the accomplishment of the Great Seal, and the Master empowerment is separate as before, the twelve empowerments are summarized into four types. Or, similarly, the other empowerments are the ripening empowerments, the fourth of the transcendental is the empowerment of liberation. It is explained that it is summarized into two types, which is a well-spoken statement with key points. The fourth is, in unity, the Sanskrit word for empowerment is seka, and later letters were added for translation.

The term "sna pi" means washing, that is, washing away all the turbidity of defilements and generating wisdom. Alternatively, it is called empowerment because it purifies. In the Vajra Garland, it says: "Like poison is destroyed by mantra, mantra purifies and takes essence. Likewise, disciples are purified by empowerment, etc., from impurity." In the Tilaka of Wisdom, it says: "Empowerment makes one free from defilements, like being thoroughly washed with water, etc." For example, when a royal family is empowered, they bathe to wash away inauspiciousness. Thus, washing and purifying have the same meaning. Furthermore, the second explanation is that due to the addition of letters, "Adhikara" means to empower, hence it is called empowerment. That is, to be empowered to listen to the tantras, practice the path, accomplish siddhis, and teach the tantras. Again, the third explanation is that "katharoti" means to become independent, hence it is called empowerment. That is, to be independent in whatever way one desires with regard to siddhis and activities. Again, the fourth explanation is that it is called empowerment because of the meaning of "Ishvara," the lord. Just as a king, after being empowered, gains dominion over the kingdom, likewise, in order to have dominion over all, one obtains the supreme lord of qualities, hence it is called empowerment. In the Tilaka of Wisdom, it says: "Empowerment bestows and transforms into a Chakravartin, becoming one without doubt." Again, the fifth explanation is that by transcribing "Abhisheka," it becomes "Shakti Avakshepana," which means placing power, that is, clarifying the power to attain the bhumis, paths, and fruits. Again, the sixth explanation is that for "Abhishincha," "shincha" has the meaning of sprinkling water like washing; "Nishikta" means pouring in, like washing away defilements and pouring in wisdom. In the Hevajra, it says: "This which is called sprinkling and pouring, therefore, is called empowerment." Some also explain it as pouring water into a clean vessel, which is merely the meaning of blessing after washing away defilements. As for what is meant by "pouring in," previously the three doors of body, speech, and mind were merely naturally pure, but later they become the name for manifesting the form of the mandala. Again, the seventh explanation is that for "shincha," due to the addition of letters, it becomes "charya," conduct; for "shekta," due to the addition of letters, it becomes "mukti," liberation, that is, in order to bestow the fruit of conduct and liberation, hence it is called empowerment. Hevajra.
