The cause of the appearance of illusion is habit. Just as in the image of the rabbit's mark, due to the seed of darkness residing in the center of the moon's mandala, the rabbit (moon) cannot remain in the state of fifteen parts being complete. Similarly, the mind itself, disturbed by the mark of the habits of samsara, even with the support of the bindu, cannot remain unchangingly in bliss. The moon is the white part of increase and the black part of complete decrease, both of which constantly and extremely abide. In the middle of these two parts, whichever is the sixteenth stage of the complete white part, that moon only abides for a moment. In that state of completion, it does not remain longer than that, and it will immediately enter either the white or black part. Similarly, the bodhicitta of the white and red sequence, as a jewel and crown, only exists for a moment. When one realizes one unchanging moment of enlightenment, that is, the moment when the sixteen parts of bodhicitta are complete as a jewel, becoming an unchanging bindu will not waver from completion, and it is called unmoving. When the vajra jewel heart becomes supreme bliss, that is the complete perfection of all moments of unchanging bliss, and all moments of bliss arise from the stable jewel heart. Therefore, that unchanging bliss is called enlightenment in one moment, that is, the moment when white is complete as a jewel, and the moment when red is complete as a crown, which is said to be vajra-like samadhi. There are two causes for the bodhicitta becoming a jewel: the bindu being full, and the nada of the heart not wavering. That is, when the movement of the red prana stops and the tummo of the navel is stable, the nada of the heart also remains unmoving. The heart and navel are representative, that is, tummo and nada reside in all chakras. When unchanging bliss is completely perfected, it does not remain in the fifteen joys of the white side, and it does not scatter even once in a while to the non-white black side, abiding in the middle of the two, in the sixteenth progression of white and red.

Abiding constantly in perfection is non-duality, which is the meaning of union or entering into the absence of two extremes. Therefore, union is also the boundary for attaining the wisdom body, the unchanging moment of completion. The way in which those in samsara do not abide in the sixteen parts is that the bodhicitta arising from the crown of the head, through the sequence of the sixteen joys, becomes complete as the vajra jewel. At the end of the sixteenth part, it declines and falls outward, becoming detached from the joy of desire. From the vajra, it falls and declines, becoming utterly complete, and is therefore called the decline of the sixteenth part. Even dust will decline from the edge of the crown of the head. Furthermore, at the end of the sixteen parts of the dark side, relying on the union of desire, it arises again in the crown of the head, and as before, it becomes complete again as the vajra jewel. There, although it is said that the sixteen parts decline from detachment, it is because the mind is obscured by the falling of bindus. It is not that the essence of wisdom declines, as it is said: "All sentient beings possess the essence of the Tathagata." This is stated in the Commentary, "Essence of the Meaning." Alternatively, such a separation from joy is destroyed by great bliss. Although the separation from joy and the parts of conditioned phenomena decline, wisdom does not decline and is not destroyed. This is said to be the teaching of the great Tibetan siddha, Manlung Guru. The great bliss of this characteristic that never declines should be expressed with the sound that it is always naturally complete. That is to say, primordial wisdom is naturally complete from beginningless time, the nature of the original abiding state. The phrase "first, intermediate, and all others" is rendered in Chinese as: Antara can also refer to the end, so it is better translated as all other things and the end of things. Therefore, all conditioned phenomena other than the great bliss of primordial wisdom are the cause or nature of arising, birth, gathering, and destruction. The end of things is all conditioned phenomena. It also goes from existence, that is, from birth to death, to the end of nirvana, and from there, due to the power of karma, it arises again in existence, that is, in the state of birth, like the circle of the moon.
