Homage to all the gurus! In order to realize the inexpressible, self-aware ultimate truth, at the urging of a faithful student, I will speak here. The definitive meaning is not the realm of words, but one can realize the ultimate truth through symbols. In order to establish the nature of phenomena, one must realize the definitive secret of unerring view. In order to experience the nature as it is, the key to practice and meditation must be unerring. In order for cause and effect, dependent arising, to be unfailing, it is important to keep the practice and conduct perfectly pure. The key to manifesting the ground's nature as it is, is the manifestation of the fruit, inseparable from cause and effect. The seven key points of the view of the nature are: unchanging nature, freedom from elaboration, co-emergent, self-knowing, self-illuminating, all-pervasive, without limit, and inexpressible. Understand these. No matter how the world and existence arise and dissolve, space has no width or narrowness, and does not change. In all of samsara and nirvana, happiness and suffering, high and low, the nature of mind does not change for better or worse. Because anything appears, it is not non-existent. Because its nature is beyond grasping, it is not existent. In the nature that is primordially nothing whatsoever, it is free from all the elaborations of the mind. The nature of phenomena, this nature of mind, is not newly arisen, but is primordially co-emergent. Past, future, and present, the three times, are merely terms; their nature is not different. It is not nothing, but the unobstructed clarity of awareness, so it is clear but cannot be grasped, and has no object of focus. All the appearances of samsara and nirvana constantly appear, and are empty from the moment they arise. In this nature of space, which is only emptiness, there is no near or far in any direction, such as east or west. The space of a pillar, the space of a vase, are just words; no one can distinguish them. Therefore, mind, like space, pervades everything. The deluded mind that has not practiced, the mind of a yogi on the path, and the mind of a fully enlightened Buddha who has purified delusion, have different names, but no difference in meaning. That which appears as anything but is nothing whatsoever, in this single emptiness and clarity beyond grasping, is only what is separately labeled by delusion. Because there is nothing to grasp anywhere, it is free from extremes. If you grasp at things as real, that is the extreme of permanence. If you grasp at emptiness, that is said to be the extreme of nihilism. Because it is not established anywhere, it is beyond the mind.

Good and bad, existent and nonexistent, conditioned and unconditioned phenomena, and so on, all that appears and exists, No matter how many names and terms are spoken, It will not change the understanding of the reality of things, And it is impossible to describe the way things abide as they are, Therefore, it transcends the realm of words and is beyond expression. By the blessings of the glorious and supreme Lama, It can only be experienced through self-awareness. The meaning of the various tenets of different schools, Is in harmony with this, and surpasses all others. Others only practice one aspect of reality, Only this is the unerring primordial state. Listeners meditate on the absence of self of the person, The Svatantrika school considers all objects of grasping to be unreal, The Yogacara school considers the two emptinesses to be wisdom, The Madhyamaka school says that all dharmas are unreal. The outer tantras consider the appearance of emptiness to be the body of the deity, The Anuttara tantras consider bliss and emptiness to be inseparable, Everything is just a name given to one's own mind. The only thing to be determined is one's own mind. Because it is free from action, object, and agent, Therefore, the absence of self of the person refers to this mind itself. All external appearances are the play of one's own mind alone, Therefore, the object of grasping is the absence of self of phenomena. Just as water waves are inseparable from water, All appearances are the play of one's own mind alone, Therefore, there is no distinction between grasper and grasped. This self-nature, clear and empty, without interruption, Is the non-dual wisdom, the ultimate reality. Because it has no support and no object of focus, It is ungraspable and beyond the realm of expression, Therefore, it is the nature of dharma that has never existed. The appearance of all samsara and nirvana, Is clear and empty because it is empty from the moment it arises. Impermanence, suffering, and so on are merely nominal terms, In reality, there is no essence, like an echo. In the unchanging nature of great bliss, Because there is nothing to grasp, it is bliss and emptiness. The king of views, boundless like the sky, The profound reality, be sure to keep in mind. These are just a few words about the state of view. The view is vast like the sky, It is important to experience it in meditation. A view without experience, Will only remain in intellectual understanding. For the beginner yogi, It is difficult to recognize one's own nature in the subsequent innate wisdom, Therefore, it is important to strive in both calm abiding and insight. The nine ways of abiding of the mind, and so on, As well as the stages of practicing calm abiding and insight, And
