Even with great kindness, not associating with worldly affairs; having a good backing, but not being strict with oneself. Strive to achieve these things in any way possible. This is the fifth story about conduct that goes to the heart of Dharma practice. Furthermore, dedicating one's own merits to enlightenment: The merit to be dedicated is also like an illusion; the one who dedicates, oneself, is also like an illusion; the essence of dedication, desiring the result and the mind along with the words of dedication, is also like an illusion; the result of dedication, the state of Buddhahood, is also like an illusion. Knowing that all is inseparable from appearance and emptiness, and planting prayers with faith in the infallibility of conventional cause and effect. First, recite the words of the Victorious Ones, such as the "Bodhicaryāpraṇidhānarāja," and then say this: With faith, renunciation, compassion, bodhicitta, and meditating on the nature of reality, all the merit I have done through prostrations, offerings, accumulation, rejoicing, deity meditation, mantra recitation, especially restoring or newly building the sacred images of Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Wrathful Deities, Vajravarahi, and sublime lamas, and doing the work of temples, etc., all the merit accumulated in the three times, may all beings have happiness, and may all Buddhas and their retinues, through the power of entering the ocean of pure activity, may I and all sentient beings as vast as space, completely abandon the two obscurations and their imprints, quickly attain unsurpassed enlightenment, and until then, may everything be without obstacles and be a cause of happiness. May the one path of all Buddhas of the three times, the inseparable emptiness and compassion, may the supreme wisdom be manifested, and may spontaneously accomplished benefit for others arise. May all diseases, evil spirits, and obstacles be completely pacified, may we be naturally liberated from all obstacles and wrong paths, may we realize the original face of the nature of mind, the dharmadhatu, and may pure appearances pervade everything. May all sentient beings who are preceded by my seeing, hearing, touching, and remembering, quickly pacify all karma, afflictions, and suffering, and may all happiness, goodness, and perfection increase. May the devotion of seeing the lama as the dharmakaya, may whatever arises be naturally liberated without alteration, may there be no obstacles or distractions in practice, and may with pure intention

愿相续解脱！与至尊上师永不分离，愿得一切本尊之加持，愿一切护法皆为奴仆，愿一切有缘者成就大义！此乃精通工艺，且对修行具信者及其友伴等，屡屡劝请后，由觉囊巴吉祥山（今属四川）之达热纳塔所著。此乃由善于绘画之藏族学者顿珠坚赞，以及与其一同修行的清净者贡噶华桑劝请后所说。吉祥！ 由萨迦统治者大权者的命令劝请后，达热纳塔所说： 那摩咕噜瓦（藏文：ན་མོ་གུ་ར་ཝེ།，梵文天城体：नमो गुरवे，梵文罗马拟音：namo gurave，汉语字面意思：顶礼上师）。如无垢虚空中旭日东升，无垢智慧周遍一切所知，离戏论大悲之游舞恒常显现，无与伦比之至尊上师请加持！所知之体性不可思议，名言言说无尽不可量，道路之显示方式虽多，然若从心要处把握则如下：具信心者无造罪之机会，具出离心者无贪执懒惰，具敬信者与三宝不离不合，具悲心者无自私悭吝。于黑白业果不欺，生起定解。言辞善巧且眼光高远，仪态端庄然不畏惧罪恶者，乃三恶道之垫脚石。口才好、势力强、受用丰足者，亦不过是几年几个月的威风罢了。命终之时，身不由己被业力牵引，傲慢者于危难之际堕落。敌友财物房屋仆从等，于自己有权势之时善加利用。必定分离且迅速到来，无力挽回之分离有何意义？获得天人之财富亦不满足，烦恼三毒增长故积恶业，获得高处之时亦在填满地狱之量器，微小安乐成就巨大痛苦。唉玛！轮回之自性即是如此，若善加思维，谁会对之贪恋？对友伴亲属无有利益之期望，最佳之皈依处乃上师三宝。信心薄弱者被自心之黑暗所蒙蔽，修习远离骄慢执着的信心与敬信，由此出生一切圆满之果。

May the lineage be liberated! May I never be separated from the supreme Guru, may I be blessed by the Yidams, may all the Dharma protectors be my servants, and may all those connected achieve great meaning! This was written by Tāranātha of Jonang Palgyi Ri (now in Sichuan), after being repeatedly urged by those who are well-versed in craftsmanship and have faith in practice, and their companions. This was spoken after being urged by the divine craftsman, the Tibetan scholar Dondrup Gyaltsen, and Kunga Palsang, a pure practitioner who practices together with him. Auspiciousness! Spoken by Tāranātha after being urged by the order of the great Sakya ruler: Namo Guruve (Tibetan: ན་མོ་གུ་ར་ཝེ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: नमो गुरवे, Sanskrit Romanization: namo gurave, Literal Chinese meaning: Homage to the Guru). Just as the sun rises in the stainless sky, may the stainless wisdom pervading all knowable things, the constant manifestation of the playful compassion free from elaboration, be blessed by the incomparable Lord Guru! The nature of knowable things is inconceivable, and the expression of words is endless and immeasurable. Although there are many ways to show the path, if one grasps the essence from the heart, it is as follows: Those with faith have no opportunity to sin, those with renunciation have no attachment or laziness, those with devotion have no separation from the Three Jewels, and those with compassion have no selfishness or stinginess. Generate a definite understanding that black and white karmic results are not deceiving. Those who are skilled in speech and have high aspirations, and who have good manners but are not afraid of sin, are the stepping stones to the three lower realms. Those who are eloquent, powerful, and wealthy are only glorious for a few years or months. When death comes, one is helplessly led by karma, and the arrogant fall into danger at that time. Enemies, friends, wealth, houses, servants, etc., should be used well when one has the power to do so. Since separation is certain and will come quickly, what is the benefit of separation that cannot be reversed? Even if one obtains the wealth of gods and humans, one is not satisfied. The three poisons of affliction increase, so one accumulates bad karma. When one obtains a high position, one is also filling the measuring cup of hell. Small happiness accomplishes great suffering. Alas! The nature of samsara is like this, if one thinks about it carefully, who would be attached to it? There is no hope of benefiting friends and relatives, the best refuge is the Guru and the Three Jewels. Those with weak faith are obscured by the darkness of their own minds. Meditate on faith and devotion that are free from pride and attachment. From this, all perfect fruits arise.
