Yes. This is called the metaphor of doubt. Walking with graceful manners, in order to please those with desire, know that this is not a repulsive corpse, but a woman with deer eyes. This is called the metaphor of realization. Always burning intensely, with a tormented heart, the abode of those who act in samsara, this house where afflictions grow, is like a forest of razor blades. This is called the metaphor of combination. Those virtuous ones who have abandoned pride, and the wise who delight in giving, like the owner of a treasure, are rich with immeasurable splendor. This is called the metaphor of equality. This meditation of extreme solitude, although similar to the law of a Chakravartin king, and the act of increasing virtue, is superior because it is free from a distracted mind. This is called the metaphor of disparagement. The cool breeze of the Malaya forest, which brings happiness, is like the complete ripening of merit, hearing the Dharma is also like that. This is called the metaphor of praise. Without separately saying whether this brings happiness or suffering, one should understand that the enjoyment of the five desires is like the edge of a razor. This is called the metaphor of conjecture. Immaculate pure intention, and discipline endowed with four qualities, although similar to the path of the noble ones, are mutually competing opposites. This is called the metaphor of contradiction. The wisdom of self-nature free from elaboration, although endowed with qualities, requires effort, the accumulation of merit tainted by delusion, cannot compare to it even with a lifetime of effort. This is called the metaphor of negation. Mount Meru is adorned with the light of jewels, rich with the splendor of celibacy and discipline, although equally possessing glory, the mountain is not superior in that way. This is called the metaphor of beauty or flattery. That which increases intelligence, is not Saraswati, but hearing the Dharma. That which brings comfort to the body, is not touch, but extremely refined meditation. This is called the metaphor of stating the essence itself. The happiness born from beauty and so on, and from meditation, all of these, cannot compare to the happiness of peace. Therefore, Nirvana itself is the metaphor. This is called the metaphor of non-commonality. Gathering all the good paths of samsara and nirvana, as if the creator had gathered them into one place, those supreme spiritual friends, all those with wisdom should rely on. This is called

An example of non-arising. In this time of strife, a few who have heard much, though holding the monastic robes, still harbor deceit and malice. This is like heat arising from the light of nectar. This is an example of non-existence. Like a vase of nectar, the essence-extracting jewel of accomplishment, like a wish-fulfilling tree, virtue, merely relying on it, bestows excellent results. This is an example of abundance. This enjoyment of living by virtue, like frolicking in a garden of complete gathering, is like repeatedly enjoying the wealth of the lord of the gods. This is an example of transformation. As the light of the sun dispels the night, as the king of medicine eliminates heat, as Indra defeats the son of Danu, so does Dharma destroy sin. This is an example of a string. Other than Dharma and samsara, beings, sins, nirvana, etc., are like a wheel of nectar, a monkey, poison, and a garden of joy. These are to clarify the meaning, the simile ornament clarifying with a single sound. Like the ocean is existence, like a throne is affliction, like a great ship is the path of Dharma, like a captain is the teacher. This is an example of multiple clarifications. Even hundreds of millions of rivers flow and merge into the treasure of water. Various different vehicles all flow into the realm of Dharma. This is an example of the object of the moon. From bodhicitta arises the Buddha, from the eggshell arises the creator. The Victorious One truly shows the path, leading others into the dense state. This is an example of similarity. The guide, the Bhagavan, the Thus-Gone-One, in non-conceptualization, for the sake of sentient beings, for the spontaneously accomplished conduct, is like a wish-fulfilling jewel, the supreme precious jewel. This is an example of cause. Thus, there are thirty-two similes. There are three faults of simile ornaments: mixing male, female, and neuter genders; excessive superiority or inferiority of simile and meaning; and confusion of many or few words. For these, in order, the grandfather is as venerable as a mindful sage, the woman is like a deceitful earth-holder, following with hypocritical words, like iron filings, not like a gold-containing mother. Happiness, etc., is like the mansion of the owner, also like a flower-strewn cattle pen, shaving the head and walking slowly, these happinesses

Just like passing away. This consciousness that wanders without a friend is like the leader of merchants. All conditioned things are like a rhinoceros horn, alone producing only suffering. These are flawless and distinct examples. If one practices according to the Dharma, even a woman, like a man with supreme courage, will surely attain enlightenment. There is no doubt about this. Like a hero who triumphs in battle, the wise and ascetic are supremely happy. Like a plague that has been completely cured, what has been abandoned will not be reversed again. All phenomena that exist, like the heat of fire's nature, are exhausted in suffering alone. Wise ones, strive for liberation. Thus, a slight admonition, spoken in the manner of metaphorical ornaments, I have not been able to express any amazing words or meanings. However, the Dharma's principles, you, the lord of men, should examine. This was said by Tāranātha, having realized that the assemblies of wealth and desire are devoid of essence, and having taken only the assemblies of Dharma and liberation into his control, he composed a few verses in Ngamring. Auspiciousness! A teaching for Lady Kunga Trinley Wangmo. Through the compassion of our holy lama, all external happiness, suffering, attachment, hatred, high and low status, become equal in the realm of inner Dharma. Rather than holding onto the thought of resting, in the solitary place of Ya'yong Snow Mountain, may both body and mind be reduced to dust. Although there is a desire for practice, it has always been carried away by the demons of distraction. From the self-nature of previously accumulated karma, the leader of abandoning the next life has descended. Who has blocked the corners of immediate attachment and hatred? Fallen into debauchery mixed with sinful deeds. Now, I do not blame the deeds done in the past. Not letting all the faithful fall into the abyss, I pray that a practice that harmonizes practice and life will be quickly accomplished. If one's own words and actions are inconsistent, how can one instruct others? Because you have a very pure intention, I speak in the manner of innermost thoughts. A solitary place away from one's homeland, enjoyment of food unmixed with wealth, and practice of Dharma unmixed with sin—these three are inherently rare, but now they are gathered together. The worldly household that is difficult to abandon, the wealth and land that are difficult to overcome.
