And, I received the transmission of the "Introduction to the Three Kayas" by Chöje Rangjung, a lineage of the Guru Yoga Kundu Norbu, and a concise version of the "Five Limbs of Mahamudra" by Je Könchok Yanlak. After that, because I was not invited to Gyantse for the funeral rites of the deceased local official, Mandal, I only managed to reach Samding that night. The next morning, I set off early and arrived in Gyantse in time for the morning tea. From then until the end of the funeral rites, I continuously performed rituals such as self-generation, front-generation, and vase empowerment near the body, reciting each mantra a hundred times, and for the final session, I performed an uninterrupted exorcism ritual. The local official had an unparalleled and unwavering faith in Je Dampa and trusted him deeply. Therefore, for the funeral rites, he made long-term offerings in the monastery according to the Great Medicine Buddha ritual, each monk received a load of offerings, and he also performed the empowerment of the half-standing Medicine Buddha, and made offerings and donations. The main part of the funeral rites concluded around noon. The next day, I arrived in Samding. Before passing away, Yolmo Tulku Rinpoche left a will stating that there should be someone in the main procession of the funeral rites who could give me teachings, so they should come early. Therefore, the next day, I arrived in Kyibuk. A tent was set up outside, and rituals were performed there. After noon, about five hundred monks, mostly yogis from various monasteries, performed the elaborate main part of the funeral rites. I walked at the front of the procession. The next day, I offered auspicious wishes and longevity empowerments to Chöje's throne holder and others, and left around noon. In Panam Zhol, the Khenpo and Lopön of the Golden One said, "Please come to the residence for tea," so I went. In the scripture hall, the sounds of chanting and laughter mingled, creating a very pleasant atmosphere. That night, I returned to my residence and observed a retreat for about twenty days. Previously, the protector of Taglung had ordered: "These new teachings that have come from India are difficult for everyone to master, so clear teaching materials must be prepared for everyone."
