Knowing the flourishing of the Buddhadharma, he went to the monastery and became a master of scriptures, and he also knew many subtle cultural knowledge. He practiced the three deities of the Red and Black Yamantaka for a long time. From the master of scriptures, Jampal Drakpa, he heard many teachings of the Bodong tradition. In Yeru Shang (present-day Xiangzi Township, Nanmulin County, Shigatse City, Tibet), from Pagor Sonam Zangpo, he heard all the Shangpa Kagyu teachings and practiced them for a long time. He practiced the Dharma protector Swift Action Wisdom Protector and many oath-bound protectors such as Palgon Maning, and thus attained accomplishment, with immeasurable power and strength. Although he was a monk who accomplished fierce activities, he devoted himself to subduing hailstorms through activities. In Yeru Dzong (present-day Shigatse City, Tibet), he destroyed the enemy's castles and homes, and in winter, he repeatedly dropped iron hailstones three times in a row. He annihilated all harm-doers, including local officials. However, he passed away due to the transference of Niguma. Two sons of Singye Pal were born, namely Jamyang Lodro and Jamyang Zangpo. Jamyang Zangpo heard the Six Yogas from Dharma Lord Sonam Drakpa, and good realizations arose. The former manifested the history of practicing Dzogchen for a long time at Pungpo Riwoche in Tsang. The first son is my lama, and also my grandfather, a great vidyadhara. His name is Tsultrim Namgyal. It is said that in his childhood, in the presence of Cho Drak Gyatso, he only heard the recitation transmission of the six-syllable mantra. He studied Pramana from Dharma Lord Trinlepa and inquired about some teachings such as the inseparability of wind and mind. He relied on many Mahamudra and Dzogchen lamas, such as the Madman of Central Tibet, Pema Lingpa, Zurwonpa, and Soton Kunzhon, and his knowledge of the Nyingma tradition was very extensive. He was not only proficient in the Yamantaka and other subjugation rituals, the Upper and Lower Vajrakilaya rituals, and the Purification of the Lower Realms lineage, but also proficient in the New Schools, as well as astrology, medicine, and various subtle interdependent relationships. By practicing Vajra Yamantaka and Vajrapani, as well as Black Maning, signs also appeared. He made the local deities of the past and present serve as servants. Because he possessed wisdom, compassion, and power, he greatly benefited sentient beings. Because of his kindness, my father also gained some abilities such as hailstorms. Those true traces still exist today. Thus, the origin of my lineage is from the Ra family.

It is said that this is how it happened. If measured in terms of Dharma, our family lineage consists of great translators, Dharma masters, and powerful practitioners. In terms of worldly wealth, our family is like the great Rwa Lotsawa, who was renowned as being similar to King Tri Ralpachen. Thereafter, the activities of Rwa Lo Bum Seng and Sher Gyal, among others, were also immeasurable. For example, the great Lama Phagpa regarded Ldong ston and Rongpa Ga Lo, two outstanding disciples of the Rwa family, as his gurus. This shows that almost all the excellent lamas in Tibet were influenced by the Rwa teachings. Our ancestors and later family members did not gather powerful armies, nor did they have the ability to flaunt wealth. However, they each knew clearly that they had the ability to support monks, disciples, and patrons, and that they had the power to pray to their yidams and Dharma protectors. Therefore, our ancestors and fathers, including all householders and mantra practitioners, paid homage to bhikshus, served the Three Jewels, and always refrained from harming sentient beings for the sake of food and wealth. Before the age of ten, they studied reading and so on; before the age of twenty, they recited scriptures; before the age of thirty, they cut through doubts; and before the age of forty, they recited mantras, meditated, and practiced. After that, householders engaged in worldly affairs such as marriage. Most of the great practitioners of the past and in Tibet maintained the good example of the mantra practitioners of the past. Nowadays, or in later times, incarnate lamas, monastic mantra practitioners, great lamas, and small lamas, in droves, do not hesitate to kill, casually dispose of images, scriptures, and stupas, engage in unwise actions, indulge in pleasures, and marry and have children early, which is excessive. Nowadays, most mantra practitioners and khenpos behave in a trendy way. The lineage of the Rwa family has flourished, but the Dharma of the Rwa family has declined. Now there are some mantra practitioners who do not need to rely on marital relations, lies, and tricks, but are truly capable and have real ability. Now I will tell my own situation. The place where I was born is located at the border of Ü and Tsang (dbUs gTsang), at the site of Kharak Khyungtsun, one of the twelve Tenma goddesses who protect Tibet, and is known as Jomo Kharak. It is a place frequented by great masters such as Padmasambhava, the great pandita Gayadhara, and the father and son translators of Gnyos.
