And, I received the transmission of the instruction manual on the introduction to the three bodies, written by Chos rje rang byung, as well as a method of Guru Yoga called Kun 'dus nor bu, and a condensed transmission of the instruction manual on the five stages of Mahamudra, written by rje dkon mchog yan lag. Immediately, as I was not summoned to Gyaltsé (rgyal rtse) to perform the funerary rites for the deceased official lord Drungshé (mgron gshes), I only reached Samding (bsam sdings) that night. The next morning, I set off early and arrived in Gyaltsé in time for the morning tea. Then, until the completion of the funerary rites, I continuously performed the rituals of self-generation, front-generation, vase-generation, etc., near the corpse, reciting each mantra a hundred times, and performing an uninterrupted Lhogö (lho sgo) in the final session. The lord of that place had unwavering faith in Je Dampa (rje dam pa), his devotion was unparalleled, and in reality, he was very trusting. Therefore, for the sake of the funerary rites, a daily offering was made in the monastery according to the great ritual of the Medicine Buddha, and each of the monks was given a load of offerings, and offerings and donations were made for the half-rising empowerment of the Medicine Buddha. The actual funerary rites were completed around noon, and the next day I arrived in Samding. Yolmo Tulku Rinpoche (yol mo sprul sku rin po che) had said in his last testament before his death that during the actual funerary rites, it seemed that someone was teaching me the Dharma, so they should come early. Therefore, the next day I arrived in Kyibuk (skyid sbug). A tent was set up outside, and a Dharma assembly was held there. In the afternoon, more than half the day had passed when about five hundred monks from many monasteries, mostly yogis, performed the elaborate funerary rites. I went at the head of the line. The next day, I offered congratulations and longevity empowerments to Chöjé throne-holders and others, and returned around noon. At Panam Zhol (pa rnam zhol), the golden one, the Khenpos and Khenpos said to come to the residence for tea, so I went. The recitation of scriptures and laughter mingled together, making it a pleasant experience. That night I returned to my own residence and spent about twenty days in retreat. Previously, the holy refuge of Taklung (stag lung) had said, "These new teachings that have come from India seem difficult for everyone to master, so clear documents must be prepared for everyone."
