After taking it, I lifted (myself) onto the door-bed of Yarlam and went to the top of Drepung Monastery, residing in the new house named "Khamsum Namgyal" (Victory Over the Three Realms). From then until the 29th of the twelfth month, I stayed without going out, taking care of my health. Virtuous deeds increased, and wisdom and joy also grew. At this time, I also had the desire to go to Oddiyana (the pure land of Guru Rinpoche), thinking it would be very pleasant, but because Ka-kho strongly insisted that I stay, I gave up the idea. From the beginning of the twelfth month, I was barely able to stand and walk, so around the eighth, I also did some circumambulation. Now, saying that they would make offerings for me, the steward himself took charge and made efforts. On the sixth, a day with auspicious stars, they began to create the profound image and the great golden image of the Bhagavan Tathagata Amitabha (梵文:Amitābha). Tenzin Rinpoche, an emanation from U-Tsang (Central Tibet), and our own O-lo, etc., also came to meet. On the first day of the first month, the retreat ended. Lamas such as Gewa, who came from the Kham region, attended the gathering to receive offerings, gifts, dedications, etc. I was barely able to walk between Tse and Shol. These eight Sugata stupas, made of gold, copper, and silver, were started in the eighth month of the Sheep year. Because there were many decorations, it took a long time, and it was completed at this time. Each stupa was eight cubits high, and the decorations mainly consisted of turquoise, coral, and various jewels, including ruby (梵文:Padma rāga,lotus red), sapphire (梵文:Cunī), topaz (梵文:Gomutika, cow urine stone), yellow sapphire (梵文:Puṣeraka), carnelian (梵文:Sukanti), cat's eye (梵文:Lasuna), sapphire (梵文:Indra-nīla), emerald (梵文:Marakata), etc., as well as six-petaled lotus stones (梵文:Ṣaṭ-dala-tilaka), Dohari (梵文:Ḍohari), crystal, and white, red, and black agate, polished crystal, amber, pearls, etc. In short, each stupa had about two thousand five hundred decorations. The consecration of these was also completed on the first and second days. On the auspicious fourth day, relying on the mandala of the glorious Chakrasamvara (梵文:Śrīcakrasaṃvara), the actual consecration ceremony was successfully completed in the morning. The face of the large thangka of Jampa (Maitreya Buddha) was also unveiled. There was a very large gathering of monasteries, practice centers, and other communities.

Offerings were made to the relics of the eight stupas. During the artisans' celebration, a strong wind blew, carrying away the carpets, and some inauspicious signs occurred. In the manner of a celebration, I went to the throne of the beautiful Dharma. The Sangha performed a long-life ceremony for me. Offerings from various regions were also plentiful. A grand Tsok (gathering feast) was arranged. In the spacious area of the beautiful Dharma, the number of attendees was approximately one thousand seven hundred. Including those who needed to be given alms, the total was definitely over two thousand. The Tsok food amounted to two 'do-ma' measures of grain, and the five types of food were substantial, not small and flimsy. There, all the assembled dark-skinned people, even beggars, received their due share. This Tsok was offered by the entire monastery spontaneously. As for myself, although the wounds from the fire had not yet healed, and my body was afflicted with various ailments in different parts, my physical condition was not good. However, I pretended to have recovered from the illness. Many monks from various regions came to seek Dharma, including those who were invited to stay. On the fifth, I went to the great hermitage of glorious Jonang. The next day, the sixth, the Kalachakra Six Yogas teachings began. As before, the empowerment of the heart center, etc., was not treated as a simple teaching but was practiced diligently. The next day, when the higher empowerment was to be conferred, all the permanent residents came. Knowing that the total number of monks and students, male and female, from both local and foreign regions, was even greater than the previous permanent residents, and that both the number of attendees and those who needed to be given alms would definitely be more, a generous Tsok was prepared as before. The thirteen-tiered umbrella of the great Utsé Kumbum (Great Central Stupa), including the top, had been replaced for some time by various uncertain clay models. Because the size was small and it was also damaged, a new one was made that was appropriate for the stupa itself, made of gold and copper, inlaid with many jewels, and with a net of jewels hanging from the umbrella, about the height that a person could hold in their arms. During this time, it was successfully completed. On that morning, the consecration ceremony was performed. This Tsok was sponsored by our own funds. Thus, for those two Tsoks, the first was in the tradition of Chakrasamvara, and the second was in the tradition of Kalachakra.
