At that time, Lama Rinpoche remained seated in the lotus position for half a month without getting up even once. He personally traveled through Tso Go and Mangkar Dekyi Ling, and met the lord Namkha Gyalpo in Lhatse Dzong. In the late ninth month, he arrived at the retreat place of Cholung Tser. He met the venerable and holy Lama Jampelyang. Soon after, he began the extremely ripening empowerment and guidance of the Oral Transmission of the Path and Fruit. He also received many teachings that he had not received before, such as Maitri Khachö. The methods of oral transmission became direct instructions without relying on written texts. The light of wisdom arose, enabling him to distinguish the definitive positions of his own and others' doctrines without confusion. At this time, Dharma Lord Jamyang Rinpoche and the representatives from Kazi Rinpoche came to visit. They themselves also came to see me. In any case, the offerings from Kazi were very generous. Although the venerable master had initially said that I should not become a lama, he later became the source of a great lama, which was a violation of his instructions, so he confessed and vowed not to become a lama. He said that he is now reciting a large number of the Hundred Syllable Mantra, which is also for this purpose. He also explained the Dharma to them. After that, he gave a two-day retreat after the teachings were completed. The holy lama's health was very weak and in danger. For the sake of healing and longevity, he had assembly offerings made at sacred sites such as Sangri. He offered a long-life ceremony, and as soon as the long-life ceremony was over, his health was restored and his mind was at peace. He observed a seven-day retreat, and his health became very clear. That year, according to the instructions of the Vajra Acharya for the Chakrasamvara practice of Lotse, from the site selection to the invitation of the colored sand mandala, there was no omission. The main practice lasted thirteen days. At that time, he sternly ordered me to take responsibility for Cholung. In general, we do not have the capacity to take on such a large responsibility. Now, I only have the desire to study and practice. In particular, I have no intention of managing the monastery. Door

In various places, the local powers also held on because (I) did not satisfy them, but this could not become an aid to promoting the Dharma. Especially during the time when the Lama and Khenpo were residing, I concealed many reports that were not within my jurisdiction, and my request to resign was not successful. Later, if I repeatedly requested, they seemed to be displeased, so I had to act according to their wishes. After that, I only requested that during your lifetime, the Dharma seat could be placed in Cholung, and that you would be allowed to reside there. At that time, they seemed to agree, but they did not reside in Cholung except for that year. We set out eastward on the third day of the third month of the Tibetan calendar, and in Jonang, we met Jetsun Rinpoche. We listened to some transmissions of the "Biography of the Omniscient Great Master" written by Rongbo, as well as a quick guide to the Six Yogas. They arranged for me to ascend the Dharma seat of Jonang, and Jetsun himself purified me. After that, we stayed at Vulture Peak for three days. We visited the Amitabha Buddha Hall, Jowo, and Vaishravana. When praying to Jowo, I felt that he was the true form of Avalokiteshvara, and a blue light emanated from his body covered in dirt, merging into myself. We stayed in Marlam Narthang for nine days. All the large troops of Gyigyang and others were there. From Rinbung came the Sakya ruler Ngawang Jigten Wangchuk and his son. From Gyantse came the representative of Lord Gyalwa. Representatives came from Serma and from Kyungtse, and we met them. We only offered greetings and various initiations. The Rinbung Shabdrung also sent very profound letters through the various means mentioned earlier. At that time, they showed true devotion. After that, we stayed in Samtse Luding for one night. The next day, the monks and Khenpos of Thupten Sertokchen Monastery in front of Mipham Gyalwa came to greet us. As soon as we arrived at the Labrang, a stable seat was arranged in Tashi Tsekpa. For four days, Dharma assemblies were held every day, and the Dharma was explained according to each person's wishes. Because there were so many people to meet, it was very busy. As soon as I returned to my residence, Samten Ding, I immediately began a retreat. In general, before

Although spending time in laziness and distraction was my usual conduct, this year I made some effort. Although the times were very turbulent this year, I did not generate thoughts of attachment and aversion, nor did I increase the eight worldly concerns, but focused solely on listening, contemplating, and meditating. I memorized the entire text of the "Spring Nourishment Root Treatise." I received detailed explanations and conclusions on the beginning and end of the Abhidharmakosha from the wise master named Jampa. From noon until nearly sunset, I received the transmission of the collected works of Panchen Rinpoche. In the evening, after completing my daily practice sessions, I requested more intensive explanations in the twilight. At dawn, after finishing my practice, I would briefly review the text by the light of a lamp. In the morning, immediately after finishing my session, I would recite what had been taught the previous day. In the summer, I received explanations on the Vinaya, as before. In the autumn, I received very detailed explanations of the entire Kalapa grammar, drawing very detailed diagrams from memory. At that time, there was a great display of Chinese magic. The venerable lama also heard the explanations of the grammar from the earlier teacher based on the text. Later, it seemed that the disciples of Lhadongpa Geshe Namgyal learned it by heart, which caused some speculation. After that, I received complete instruction from the text. Last year, in Tingkye (within present-day Qushui County, Lhasa), I participated in various poetry competitions with Chöje Lobsangpa, but it was not completed at that time. This time, I picked up from where I left off and completed the poetry competitions. For the Ornament of the Sutras, I received the commentary of Maitreya and combined it with Rong's commentary, receiving rough explanations and transmissions, which greatly improved my understanding. Thus, I learned a little about worldly knowledge and also tasted the great treatises, so when I saw the books written by some later famous scholars, or when I discussed and conversed with scholars, I did not feel inferior. Here it is said: By the wind force of Asanga's chariot of reason, from the light of pleasing good speech, all knowledge arises in the ocean of my mind.
