It means that it is important to do so. Some also say, "It's okay if you don't understand now, but once you understand one thing, that's when you have the view." This is wanting a result without a cause. The reason is that view, meditation, and conduct must have characteristics, and although it is said that they will appear after obtaining the first ground, from now on, view, meditation, and conduct must be the cause of conformity. Although the path of accumulation and the path of joining are not the characteristics of the path of truth, they are in accordance with it. Without the path of accumulation and joining, the path of seeing and meditation will not arise. In the Ornament of the Sutras, Maitreya asked, "The shamatha and vipassana that focus on contaminated dharmas, from realizing what do they obtain what?" The Buddha replied, "They are obtained from realizing the first ground, the Joyful Ground, and obtaining the third ground, the Luminous Ground. However, even the first bodhisattva should study accordingly and not abandon mindfulness." Look at this statement: "Once you understand one thing, is it okay to put it down now?" This is what my master, the wise and accomplished Lhawang Lodrö, said.\ Some also say, "There is no need to adhere to a sect, because the teachings of Padampa Sangye say not to adhere to a sect, saying it is the Dingri tradition." This is self-contradictory, because while saying not to adhere to a sect, they are following the sect of Padampa Sangye. This is not understanding the nature of a sect. Abiding in a sect has three aspects: the sect of meaning, the sect of definitive wisdom, and the sect of spoken words. These refer to the two truths, the wisdom that realizes the two truths, and the words that express them, respectively. Therefore, do not adhere to a sect that becomes the basis of attachment and aversion, this is the intention of the holy ones.\ Some also say, "Based on the reason that they have not heard or seen it themselves, they say that the Tathagatagarbha doctrine did not exist before, and that it is the view of the Jonangpas, which is not true." To this, one can answer with the same reason: "Since Buddhism did not exist in Tibet before, is it also untrue that Buddhism appeared later?" Moreover, it is also unreasonable that the Tathagatagarbha doctrine did not exist in Tibet before, because the sutras of the final turning of the wheel and their commentaries were translated into Tibetan by the translat

Because many kind ones have not appeared. Such as Lord Phagmo Drupa, Dharma Lord Karma Rangjung Dorje, Dharma Lord Dzimpa Chenpo, Lord Purampa Kunga Gyaltsen, and also because it is clearly stated in the many excellent explanations of many wise and accomplished ones of both China and Tibet. However, fearing that holding onto sectarianism will lead to attachment and aversion, there are now few who uphold and follow the Shakyamuni Buddha's teachings. Some say that when determining the correctness of a doctrine through reasoning and logic, you cannot determine what Buton and Dolon have not determined, so some narrow-minded and ignorant people despise it. Not only do they not listen themselves, but they also cause others to lose faith. This is truly the words of a demon, and I find it very unreasonable. First, the answer to the above question is: The Buddhas of the past had skillful means and great compassion. Although countless, immeasurable, and infinite Buddhas have appeared, they were unable to place all stubborn and difficult-to-tame beings in the state of maturation and liberation. Can't practitioners of Dharma cause any beings to mature and be liberated? Since countless Buddhas have failed to subdue, who can subdue now and abide in that state? To attain Buddhahood for the benefit of all beings, shouldn't one accumulate the two accumulations for that purpose? Shouldn't one practice the two stages? Shouldn't one engage in generosity and other perfections? Shouldn't one practice the ten white virtues? Shouldn't one engage in the three practices of hearing, thinking, and meditating? That is enough for you, but it is not enough for us. Therefore, the Mahayana practitioners, motivated by compassion for all beings, strive to liberate beings from the state of the ten non-virtues and place them in the ten virtues to the best of their ability. All-Knowing Dolpopa also said: Although he was unable to place all beings in the correct view, he placed many beings in the correct view. Therefore, although we are unable to place all beings in the correct view, it is worthwhile if we can liberate even one being from the severe obscuration of wrong views and abandoning the Dharma. Therefore, we are delighted to expound this fifth collection, which reveals the basis, path, and fruit of the union of the two truths from the pure sutras, tantras, and treatises. Some say: Madhyamaka Prasangika
