Therefore, Vasubandhu also said, "Because the object is not non-existent in the ultimate sense." Moreover, the great being, the noble Nagarjuna, also said, "Like a cloth purified by fire, stained by various impurities, when put into the fire, the impurities are burned away and the cloth does not change. Likewise, the mind of clear light, stained by desires and other impurities, burns away the afflictions with the fire of wisdom, thus the clear light does not change." And also, "Here is Nirvana itself, the mind transforms into stainless." And also, "In the stainless Dharmakaya, the ocean of wisdom becomes the place, like various jewels, from which the benefit of sentient beings is accomplished." And also, "Emaho! The most difficult to realize, the nature of reality is realized by the Buddhas." And so on, he spoke immeasurably. Therefore, all that is said to be non-existent is referring to the completely imputed. All that is said to be illusory is referring to the dependent arising. All that is said to be existent is referring to the thoroughly established. Thus, in this third turning of the wheel, it is well explained and distinguished, so there is no room for doubt and wrong views. The completely imputed and the dependent arising are non-existent in the ultimate sense, and the thoroughly established is existent in the ultimate sense, these two are not contradictory, therefore the places of contention are also pacified. Said: Some Dharma practitioners in the land of snows, Indian Dharma friends and old Tibetan predecessors, Believed that the second turning of the wheel is definitive, I think they have not gone beyond this saying, their minds are narrow. However, the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, The third is definitive, the second is provisional, Spoke in a very clear way, Those who can refute this, their hearts must be very big. This is an intermediate verse. In short, because it does not agree with their own views, they also refute the saying that the third turning of the wheel is definitive, and they also refute Nagarjuna's "Collection of Praises on the Middle Way." In the Sutras, the provisional and definitive meanings, are distinguished in many ways. Thus, they also refute the treatises of Asanga, who was prophesied, saying that they do not go beyond Mind-Only. He was born as a Pandit for five hundred lifetimes, manifested eighty hundred thousand treatises, and they also refute Vasubandhu, who was prophesied to be a holder of the teachings, saying that he does not go beyond Mind-Only. The verse of praise and the pledge to explain in the Compendium on Valid Cognition one

By whose power did the earthquake occur, with great light and sound? The plants and forests all trembled. All the non-Buddhist teachers stood stiff like wood. Until I attain Buddhahood, may I never be separated from the venerable Manjushri as my spiritual friend. Even great bodhisattvas who are prophesied to be upholders of the teachings, like the elephants of the directions, can be argued against, saying they have not gone beyond mere mind. For each volume of the Perfection of Wisdom, they recite like parrots, without any practice. Not to mention subduing the afflictions of others, they cannot even apply remedies to a slightly harsh word to their own minds. Even when engaging in Dharma talks, there is no intention to purify the Buddha's teachings and benefit many sentient beings. They only desire to be clever, desire fame, desire to denigrate others, and flatter great people. They follow sectarianism for food and clothing. Only seeking to achieve prominence in this life, even someone like me claims to be a Madhyamika who understands better than Vasubandhu and Dignāga. They are not humble about their high views, which is very strange. It is said: Spiritual friends like me in the degenerate age, even abandoning the intention to benefit the teachings and beings, only to achieve the eight worldly dharmas, slightly study the methods of debate. They slightly understand the debates of terms. They are jealous of the high and arrogant towards the low. They confuse the definitive sutras as provisional, and confuse the provisional sutras as definitive. Maitreya said not to confuse the sutras. I have confused the Buddha's teachings, I confess. Abandoning the Buddha's teachings, I follow wrong words. I have reversed what should be taken and abandoned, I confess. To the wise and accomplished beings, I have falsely accused and slandered, I confess. Even if I cannot do good in the future, may I not become meaningless sins and obstacles. May I and those like me who are ignorant and arrogant, and all those in this world, follow the Buddha and his retinue who have spoken the truth, and act according to the teachings.\\ Refutation based on commitment.\\ Third, refutation based on commitment: The third turning of the wheel of Dharma is established as definitive, because the second turning of the wheel of Dharma has been committed as definitive, and the two...
