Omo Avadhuti, with the upper end inserted into the crown of the head and the lower end inserted below the navel. Straight like an arrow. Thin like a lotus petal. Clear like a sesame oil lamp. The color is white and clear, like a crystal pillar erected. The inside is empty, like a hollow reed blown through, maintain this state of mind for a long time. When this clear appearance is stable, the emptiness abode of the secret bindu is: In the center of the central channel at the heart, on a moon seat within a red dharma origin [chos 'byung] whose base is tilted upwards and whose thin roots are inserted downwards. Visualize the indestructible bindu, in the form of a white 'വം' [bam, Devanagari: वं, Romanized Sanskrit: vaṃ, seed syllable] letter, residing in bliss, from which rays of great bliss radiate, pervading the central channel and filling it with bliss, and maintain this state of mind. In this state, when the consciousnesses of the five sense faculties begin to radiate towards their respective external objects, immediately seize them with mindfulness. From the moment they appear as objects, abandon the thoughts of attachment and fixation, and focus single-pointedly on the white 'വം' [bam, Devanagari: वं, Romanized Sanskrit: vaṃ, seed syllable] letter at the heart. If you cannot abide in this, then bind the gentle vase breath immovably for as long as you can, and focus your mind on the letter at the heart. If you become tired and weary from this, then without separating from the focus on the heart, mentally recite any of the approaching and accomplishing mantras. Inhale with 'Om' [oṃ, Devanagari: ओं, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ, body speech mind], hold with the actual mantra, exhale with 'Hum' [hūṃ, Devanagari: हूं, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, subjugation], combining the vajra recitation. Alternate between these two methods, or focus single-pointedly on whichever method is effective. Like this, alternate during the meditation sessions. Finally, when ending the session, one should meditate on the post-meditation yoga as follows: From the 'വം' [bam, Devanagari: वं, Romanized Sanskrit: vaṃ, seed syllable] letter at the heart, emanate inconceivable rays of light. Pervading all the stable container world and the moving sentient world. All of these dissolve and gather into the essence of great bliss, appearing as bright red and white light, entering through one's brow and entering from the upper end of the central channel, dissolving into the 'വം' [bam, Devanagari: वं, Romanized Sanskrit: vaṃ, seed syllable] letter at the heart. Hold the gentle breath with the conviction that the wisdom of great bliss is stable, never moving, never changing. One's own clear deity form also gradually gathers from above and below, dissolving into the central channel. It dissolves into the dharma origin [chos 'byung]. It dissolves into the moon seat, and then into the 'വം' [bam, Devanagari: वं, Romanized Sanskrit: vaṃ, seed syllable] letter. It also gradually dissolves from below upwards, and finally focus on the nada the size of a hair tip. It also vanishes into the sphere, and rest in equanimity in the state of great wisdom, beyond words, thoughts, and expressions, the union of co-emergent bliss, emptiness, luminosity, and non-conceptuality. When rising from that, like a wave rising from water, one's own primordial deity form clearly appears again. The external container world is the palace of the dharma origin [chos 'byung]. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
