Combined with the prophecies such as the teachings of Porong, it is explained. In the ninth section, the main focus is on external biographies. The main thing is to engage in the practice of approaching and accomplishing with four branches, and to perform about thirty-three great accomplishments. This is an extraordinary practice of the great Vidyadharas of the early Nyingma Vajrayana. The definite number of thirty-three is as follows: Initially, when the lord himself reached the age of twenty-five, in the waxing moon of the Min Drug month of the Water Ox year, he specially went to the vicinity of the great sacred site of Riwo Wangzhu (mountain name) and perfected the heart practice of Ratna (Ratnasambhava family), the secret and supreme great accomplishment, in the manner of an unelaborated Kusali.1 At that time, there were few teachers and disciples, so there was little distraction, and the practice was effective. The master said that he was very satisfied because he met Orgyen Rinpoche (Padmasambhava) and others. After that, gradually, at the age of twenty-eight, near Pema Shelphuk (Lotus Crystal Cave), he performed medicine practice through the gate of the Eight Herukas of the Kagyu.2 Although it was winter, it was as warm as summer. Even if the proportions of the medicinal materials were forgotten, the medicine was made very successfully, with excellent color, aroma, and taste. At the age of twenty-nine, in the month of miracles (Tibetan New Year), at Dege Lhundrub Teng (monastery name), he performed the medicine practice of the combined peaceful and wrathful Eight Herukas of the Kagyu.3 In the month of Saga (Tibetan April), at Karma (monastery name), he performed the medicine practice of the Eight Herukas of the Kagyu.4 In June, he also performed the great accomplishment of Vajrakilaya.5 At the age of thirty, he performed the medicine practice of the Eight Herukas of the Kagyu at Ogmin Karma (monastery name),6 and wonderful signs of rainbows and lights appeared. The medicine practice was named 'Radiant Medicine Practice'. At the Nyingma monastery of Pal Riwoché (Great Auspicious Mountain), in conjunction with the great assembly of Ogmin, he bestowed the empowerment of Mahamudra in its entirety.7 At the end of the year, in Changlochen (place name) near the great kingdom of Dege, he performed the great accomplishment of the peaceful and wrathful Eight Herukas of the Kagyu, including empowerment.8 At the age of thirty-one, near Pawo Wangchen Drak (Hero's Powerful Rock), he performed the medicine practice through the heart practice of 'The Union of All Intentions'.9 In the great assembly hall of Palpung Monastery, he performed the great accomplishment of the combined Mahakarunika Sangdü and the New Treasures of the Profound Seven, Hayagriva.10 At the sacred site of the Million Gatherings of Dakinis, the two lords of Yanggön Labrang (monastery name) of Riwoché offered and performed the medicine practice of the heart practice.11 At the age of thirty-two, in the Iron Bird year, in the great temple of Ogmin Karma, Yermo Che, offered by Tsurphu Monastery.
