Treasure of Sealed Substances. 8 71-24-6b In the first month of the Monkey year, our master and disciples together retrieved the complete collection of the Three Sections of the Great Perfection Dharma from the Padma Crystal Cave in the lower Zham Valley.9 From then on, most were made into public treasures. On the tenth day of that month, from the top of the sacred site, we took the reliquary of the emanation of Rigdzin Garab Dorje (rig 'dzin dga' rab rdo rje, Vidyadhara Delightful Vajra), and the two Nyingtig (snying tig, Heart Essence) teachings as immediate treasures.10 At the age of twenty-nine, on the first day of the month of miracles (cho 'phrul zla ba, the month of miraculous manifestation), from the Powerful Hero Rock, we took the general catalog of the twenty-five great sacred sites.11 On the ninth day of the same month, from the great secret cave of Yarlung Zashidong, the sacred site of the Body of Qualities, we took the secret treasure of 'Manjushri Mitra's Heart Essence'.12 On the fifteenth day, from the top of the sacred site of Sengchen Namdrak, the sacred site of Qualities and Activities, we took the catalog of the profound treasure, and the Lotsawa Heart Essence together.13 On the nineteenth day, from the upper and lower Drakongmo rocks, we took six sections of Dharma teachings such as the 'Great Meaning Vajra Arrangement', as well as secret scriptures, Orgyen Rinpoche's (o rgyan rin po che, Precious Teacher of Oddiyana, Padmasambhava) hat, the prince's (lha sras, divine son, referring to Vairotsana) seal, the statue of Shakyamuni Buddha, Garab Dharma medicine, and other great treasures of Dharma, relics, and sacred substances.14 On the twentieth, from the Rich Burning Rock there, we also took the Dharma medicine gau box of the twenty-five lords and subjects and a Dharma cycle.15 On the twenty-second, from the rock resembling a medicine bag, we took a medicine treasure and a yellow scroll.16 The tree medicine was given to us, and the yellow scroll was kept secret. 71-24-7a All the treasures of Namdrak are public treasures. On the way to the south, from the Zime Khandro Crystal Cave, we took the sacred site record written on the robes of Khenpo (mkhan po, abbot, referring to Bodhisattva), and the Supreme Voice Ornament of Gyalwa (rgyal ba, Victorious One) etc.17 From Kerong Dorje Chongphuk, we took some longevity substances of Orgyen Father and Mother (o rgyan yab yum, Oddiyana Father and Mother, referring to Padmasambhava and his consort) and some catalogs.18 On the twenty-fifth day of the dark side of the Pleiades month (smin drug zla ba, November), the great festival of the gathering of dakinis, at dawn, from the Padma Power Cave of the Karma Thousand Stupas, we took four sections of teachings such as 'Great Compassion Uprooting Samsara' and a collection of sacred substances.19 From the lake, the Naga demon Kala Raksha (klu bdud kha la rak+Sha, Naga demon Kala Raksha) personally handed over the stone box of the Dharma protector class.20 From the depths of the old cave, the throne of Orgyen, we took the self-arisen image of Great Compassion, the flesh pill of the Brahmin Prabha Hasti (pra bha has+ti, Light Hand), and the six practices of Zurza's (zur bza'i, of the Zur family) heart practice.21 In particular, as requested by me with the catalog, we retrieved the tantra, transmission, and instructions of the 'Great Compassion Padmasambhava Illusion Net', and other particularly excellent teachings. From the precious flaming rock mountain of the three brothers of Kela Norbu, the Lama's Mind Accomplishment Wish-Fulfilling Jewel Dharma cycle, along with Guru's representative. 23 In the eleventh month, from Gotö Öbar Rock, the samaya substances, activity-play accomplishment instructions, etc., and the Dharma cycle of the Dharma Protector Wish-Fulfilling Jewel Great King Namtösé, etc., were invited. 24 At the age of thirty-one, on the tenth day of the monkey month (fifth month) of the earth-sheep year, from Palpung Yangtrö Dewikota Tzadra Precious Rock, the Secret Essence cycle and the sacred site guide, and the relics of all the Sugatas, the precious crests of the relics, were received. 25 In the autumn and winter of that year, from Ga Tö Me Seng Precious Crystal Rock, the gold-headed turquoise-skirted Tsa-tsa was received, as well as a single ring-relic emanated from the tooth of Guru Rinpoche, and the catalogs of many great and small sacred sites and treasure sites of Tibet. 26 Some of the sacred site guides of Doti Gangkar, etc., were revealed, but the rest were not made public. This sacred site of Ga Tö Yü Drak was opened by Düddul, and there is also a sacred site guide. The Great Tertön Rinpoche identified it as Heruka, the sacred site of body activity among the twenty-five great sacred sites. From there, the White Tara longevity substance, the essence of the moon, of Vimalamitra, and the Mind Drop Essence, etc., were received. 27 The secrecy was extremely strict. At the age of thirty-six, on the tenth day of the waxing side of the fourth month of the wood-male-mouse year, from the southern turquoise rock of Ye Gyal Namkhadzö, the profound Dharma cycle of the Kagye Desheg Kundü Tantra, Lung, and Mengag, along with the representative samaya substances. 28 Again, from the western Khawa Tengtse Rock or Tsegye Rock of that sacred site, the extraordinary longevity substances of Guru Yabyum, and the methods of accomplishing the longevity lineage nectar swirl, etc., were invited. 29 At the age of thirty-eight, on the twenty-fifth day of the tenth month of the fire-tiger year, we, the master and disciples, arrived together at Rongme Immortal White Mother Tiger Den.
