When it directly corresponds to itself, and the self-arising capacity of awareness is not obstructed and manifests clearly, various appearances of samsara and nirvana arise. Since the essence of clarity is not established in anything, it is empty from the very beginning. The union (zung 'jug) itself is also naturally endowed with the essence of self-arising awareness, and since it is not tainted by the marks of primordial delusion and liberation, it remains unchanging. Therefore, all phenomena encompassed by samsara and nirvana are known to be nothing other than the capacity of self-awareness (rang rig), not even a particle exists apart from it, therefore, by decisively establishing without hesitation, and cutting through to a single point. When approached by the antidote of the observer, the object to be observed appears as emptiness uprooted, therefore the object of grasping is empty. When the awareness of the observer looks back at itself, it dissolves into the emptiness of movement, unarisen, and the subject of grasping arises as the primordial purity (ka dag) of wisdom. Both effortlessly self-liberate, recognizing in the intention of the clear light dharmakaya (chos sku), the capacity is perfected, stability is attained, and in this way, deciding in non-duality, train on the liberation of capacity. When revealing the benefits of these, in a clear sky without clouds, turn your back to the sun and restrain your gaze. By opening the emptiness of the outer sky, from the pure sky of inner awareness, the secret clear light vajra essence (rdo rje snying po) of the sky, the nature of reality beyond boundaries and center, the essence of clear emptiness awareness will arise in an instant. The second point is: 'Ema! Samsara and nirvana, appearances and existences, the Dharma, as soon as they arise, are self-liberated. The unwavering stake of decisive understanding is planted in the realm of great equanimity.' Thus it is said, with four profound key points, if not understood, it is not understood, and if understood, one abides in the Buddha himself, therefore it is wonderful and rare. Although the appearances and existences encompassed by samsara and nirvana appear in various ways, merely upon arising, they are liberated in the unborn, the self-nature of the dharmakaya (chos sku), becoming the confidence of primordial purity (ka dag) decisive understanding, unshaken by any circumstantial appearances, at that time the king of yoga has taken his own place. Therefore, plant the unwavering stake of intention in the realm of great equanimity of samsara and peace, and begin the conduct of perfecting great capacity. The second part is the explanation of the practice of Tögal (thod rgal), which is divided into four parts: preliminaries, main practice, daily conduct, and the arising of experiential appearances, including incidental circumstances. The first part is: the activities of body, speech, and mind should be relaxed into ninefold. In terms of the body, the outer is the deluded activities of the world, the inner is the virtuous actions of prostrations and circumambulations, the secret is the movement of magical wheels ('phrul 'khor), etc., all distractions should be abandoned, and one should abide alone. In terms of speech, the outer is the various idle talks of worldly people, the inner is the recitation, etc. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Next is verbal recitation. Secret wind practice, etc., are also abandoned, and one remains silent. Abandon all external worldly thoughts of the mind, internal generation and completion stage mind-holding, and all secret thought activities, and abide in a state of non-thought. The second part is the main practice, which is also divided into two parts: restraining the three doors of body, speech, and mind, and relying on the four key points to directly bring awareness into one's own mind. The first part is: 'Without moving from that intention, the body's key is the posture of the three kayas, the speech's key is to practice slow movement, the mind's key is not to deviate from its natural course.' This means that if it is not thorough, one cannot transcend. Because this is an action that needs to be completed. Until the realization of thorough cutting is stable, even if one practices transcendence, it will only be a contaminated experience and will not become a cause for liberation. Therefore, first, in the state of having thoroughly understood the meaning of cutting, one must gradually practice the doors of the four appearances. First, starting with the nine key points of the three doors of body, speech, and mind. The three postures of the body are: sitting cross-legged with the soles of the feet together, knees extended outwards, forearms straightened, placing the palms on the ground inside the feet, straightening the upper body, and slightly raising the neck, which is the Dharmakaya posture, like a lion. Lying face down with knees and chest touching the ground, spine straight, elbows on the ground, supporting the head with the palms, fingers touching the cheeks, which is the Sambhogakaya posture, like an elephant lying down. Sitting cross-legged with the ankles together, hands wrapped around the back of the knees, spine straight, which is the Nirmanakaya posture, like a sage sitting upright. These postures are mainly chosen according to one's constitution and suitability, or practiced in the order of sunrise, noon, and sunset. The three key points of speech are: first, stop meaningless chatter and practice short periods of silence. Second, speak as little as possible except for recitation. Finally, say nothing except for hand gestures, and practice very slow wind movement. The three key points of mind are: focus on the external space, as clear as a cloudless sky, without wavering, as if piercing it with a spear, allowing the mind to dissolve into space, strongly restraining awareness. The inner space, pure light, awareness appears clearly like a lamp. The secret space becomes the cause for the appearance of bindu empty light. In any case, maintain the natural flow of awareness, without hope, fear, negation, affirmation, discrimination, or judgment. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
